So first things first, your immediate assumption is that duh, I must travel.

But let’s take a quick step back. When you think of travel, what comes to your mind? Do you picture yourself on a tropical beach? Backpacking the mountains of a foreign country?

Well when I think of travel, my first thought is-unachievable.

I work a full-time job, live paycheck to paycheck in order to pay the bills, and carry the constant burden of my crippling student debt. The thought of withdrawing money from my savings (which lets be honest, isn’t much), taking time off work, and making arrangements months in advance to take a trip just seemed stressful and quite frankly, impossible.

But I took a second and thought, why is travel such a luxury? Why do we have to put our lives on halt to travel? Most importantly, why does travel seem like a temporary escape, only to dread the day you had to return to the life you left?

I realized, this isn’t travel. It’s about adventure - new experiences, interactions, and opportunities! You don’t need to fly across the country or deplete your savings account to find that spark and zest for life. New adventures are right around the corner, and they begin the second you step foot out the door.

So follow me on my quest to give travel a new meaning. Whether you are taking a trip out of country, driving a couple of hours away from home, or simply taking a stroll around town – with an open mind and an open heart,

adventure awaits, no matter where you are.
