Hi guys! We are a couple from San Diego, California but considers the world as our playground. Brought together by the shared love for traveling, exploring new cultures and trying out new cuisines, we've been married for more than a year now. We look forward to meeting other Steemieans!

Hi Steemians! My name is Carmela. Born and raised in the Philippines. I am a big history buff and is very interested in the cultures of other countries. That love for cultures brought me to Japan where I lived for 8 years. Two years ago, I moved to San Diego, California to join Earl and I cannot wait to explore the US and the world with him.

Here's a sneak-peak to my other interests:

I love to cook! Often, you'll find me in the spice aisle of any grocery stores or specialty stores (World Market is one of my faves!) looking for new spices to use and to incorporate in my cooking.

I love the beach! Having been raised in the tropics, I always look for the waters. Luckily we are spoiled with beautiful beaches (and equally beautiful sunsets!) here in San Diego!

I love to explore and try new restaurants and cafe! Back in Japan, I used to pick a random station, walk around and try new places. Most of the time, the places I fell in love with the most are the small, hole in a wall restaurants that made me feel right at home despite serving food that I've never tried before.

I love LIFE. I am a self-declared life enthusiast! My goal in life is to pursue my interests at full speed. And that's probably why I am passionate about traveling so much. It always gives me a new perspective about life and there is no comparing to the feeling of seeing a new place for the very first time.

My name is Earl. Born in Bahrain, raised in the Philippines. I moved to the US twelve years ago and I now consider, San Diego my home. My passions include:

BASKETBALL.

GADGETS and GIZMOS. I've been a huge techie ever since I held my very first game boy at the age of 5. My man cave is stock full of big boy toys such as a Stromer Electric Bike, DJI Mavic Pro Drone, a 120" movie theater among other stuff.

TRAVELING. When I travel, I try to live like a local, fully immerse myself in their culture and try the local cuisine.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM US:

We will use this platform to take you to our trips. Share pictures of places that left us in awe. We will also be posting about the local cuisines in those places. In addition to that, Carmela would love to share her recipes while Jason would like to share his product reviews. Our goal is to give you a window to our life!
