My introduction
Hello everyone,
I joined Steemit recently, and I would like to introduce myself to you officially.
My name is Dana and I live in Germany. During daytime I am a software engineer, during night I become a net surfer. I am an avid reader, writer, story teller. I enjoy reading novels, watching good movies, listening to great music. Just like any other normal person.
Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to write children's fairytales.

Perhaps now is the time to start working on my own dream. I have already spent enough time chasing other people's dream by working under them. Now I want to start working for me. To support my dream, I have visited fairytale castles like Hohenzollern castle, Neuschwanstein castle, Disneyworld. If you have a fairytale realworld castle in mind, please do share with me.

I am also very passionate about photography. Whenever I see something beautiful, I just have to bring out my camera and capture the moment. The moment can be time spent with family, friends, strangers too. Or weather, landscapes, nature, animals.
I also like to travel to places. Well not the travelling part. I like the part after reaching the destination. If I could I would just skip the travelling part. I hate sitting in the same position for hours in train or hanging in the air in flight. So I usually prefer short distance travels. Or long distance travels made short by taking stop in between for a night or so.
Thats enough about my likes and dislikes. Please do share your own likes and dislikes.

Hello, Dana, and Welcome to Steemit.
As a writer, you'll find Steemit to be a great place. Since it's essentially a blogging / publishing site, writing is an essential skill here.
And it's not only "blogging." Fiction is also a surprisingly successful topic on this platform.
So, whatever you write, make sure you create good writing. That will lead to your (eventual) success.
Below are a few basic points of advice re posting on Steemit.
1 – Longer posts are more lucrative than short posts. If you make a post of 20–30 paragraphs, it's more likely to earn rewards.
2 – Include some photos, images or graphs, to complement the text.
3 – Make sure the text and photos are formatted properly, so that your post looks attractive and appealing.
4 – Be yourself.
5 – Be interesting and informative.
6 – Create quality content. Steemit is intended to be a platform of quality content. (You will see many insignificant posts with meager content and no quality. Most of those of posts [called “shitposts” by Steemit whale Stellabelle] will earn few rewards and soon pass into oblivion.)
7 – Get online and start curating. Read various posts, comment on those posts you find interesting, and upvote those posts. That’s the best way to attract followers.

Welcome to steemit my friend! Perhaps you can visit the lichtenstein castle. It is close to hohenzollern, you have to go a little more to south.
