"How wonderful it is to come to a comments section and see almost exclusively positive posts!"

That was my initial opinion of Steemit and why I'm now proud to say I'm going to start blogging here :)

I am not a big fan of social media and see it as a neccessary evil for networking and marketing (which are also neccessary evils for what I do, which is write!).

But I love the vision of Steemit! This is what I've been waiting for!

I'm glad I haven't been wasting my time on Pinterest and Snapchat and Facebook and instead, can attempt to find my tribe here, on a platform whose ethos I truly respect.

The positivity of this fledgling community, I hope doesn't become diluted as it grows (doesn't appear to have so far) as I believe positivity is the key to a good life.

Your vibe attracts your tribe!

Unfortunately, I've never managed to attract my tribe in life as I've lived most of it with anxiety, which has dragged me down into a pit of negativity and kept me hidden away.

I come here to the blockchain world as a drastically changed man over the last 2 years - from hopelessness and at one point, suicidal, to absolute faith in the power that lies within all of us to create the life of our dreams (via a mind-bending awakening and discovery of Bitcoin!).

I feel a strong pull towards blockchain as its potential is skyrocketing at the exact same time as my own - rising from the flames of anxiety like the fabled phoenix (hence the name, if you haven't figured it out yet)!

It feels like home here, somehow :)

I will be documenting my life here on Steemit because :

1. I want to help people; anyone struggling in life, stuck in a rut or comfort zone and especially those with #anxiety or #depression because I've overcome both - TWICE! I hope to lead by example.

2. I want to find other people on the same journey of #awakening, overcoming adversity, #self-development and transformation, #spirituality and #positivity, but most of all just damn good FUN - my tribe!

3. I'm excited by the future of blockchain and cryptos and tying that interest in with my passion for writing is just perfect! I truly believe we're all part of something very special here.

• I'm moving to Thailand soon as part of my travels!
• Love house and ambient music
• Believer in the Law of Attraction (laughed at and derided it 2 years ago but, well, strange shit has happened since!)
• "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill - book that changed my life
• Currently reading the Game of Thrones series (TV show is awesome but still worth getting books, bit more fleshed out)
• Recently discovered Bill Hicks.......shiiiiiiieeeeetttt, I thought he just did weed jokes! :)

But really, it doesn't matter to me what your interests, if you are a glass half-full person with a belief in bringing people together, not segregating based on any kind of bullshit social construct, or needless label, I would love to hear from you.

In fact, I DEMAND you get in touch! I've spent too long shut-off in this life!

Right, that's enough of the woo-woo, kumbayah bollocks! :)

P.S. If you're wondering about Brock Pierce, well, I watched a couple of interviews he gave recently (he mentioned Steemit, which is why I'm here) and this guy just oozes charisma.

His whole ethos is exactly what I've been trying to absorb over the past 2 years of my "awakening" and I highly recommend you guys check him out because we need more people like him on the planet.

When asked how much he was worth, I heard Brock say:

A true billionaire is not someone with a billion dollars but someone who positively affects the lives of a billion people.

That's what he aims to do and it's what I would like to do with my blog (but I'll start modestly at a millionaire first!) ;-)
