Took me quite a while to do a introduction. But here I am, better late than never right?

Hello Steemit Universe!!

I have been a Steemit reader since August, with only writing a small piece here and there.
One of my goals for 2018 is to get more active in this wonderful community.

Who am I?
Well my name is Charles, I just turned 35 a few days ago. (so old now...) I live in the USA and work in a machine shop as a programmer and mad scientist. I also head up a side project of mine which is Desktop CNC Mills, we call the Semp DTM series.

My story.
Since about the age of 8 I have always been super interested in computers and programming. Around that age was when I got my first PC a IBM 286, such a fantastic machine for the time. 5 1/2 inch floppy drive, 640kb of ram, and DOS... which spark a interest so intense it would pretty much define the rest of my life up until this point.

I moved to Hualien, Taiwan for 6 years from the age of 12 to 18, it was definitely a big part of my life, I loved it there, such a beautiful country and a amazing culture.

Once back in the states I went to college for computer science, working my way through collage landed me in a machine shop as a CNC operator.

Another life defining moment, after finishing collage I decided that a full time desk job just wasn't simulating enough and I decided to stick it out as a machine programmer.

So here we are, life at 35.
