ABOUT US

Hey There! We are are Sydney and Ashley and we're 18 years old. We are so happy to be joining Steemit! If you couldn't tell already we are identical twin sisters and do just about everything together. We have two great parents and an older sister sister who will be 21 soon. We are very close to our family and love spending time together. We have strong faith and trust in God's plan for our lives.

We live in western PA, where both of our parents grew up. It's a great area with a lot of beautiful scenery, but we are beach lovers at heart and hope to live close to the beach someday. We are seniors in high school and have been doing online school since our sophomore year. We love the flexibility that comes with online schooling. It also gives us the opportunity to do the things we love such as modeling, traveling, and photography. We also plan on starting a blog very soon!

Back story on us

We were born two months early due to our mother having complications. Being born in May was perfect for us since its the month of Gemini, meaning two. I guess you can say it was meant to be! We had to stay in the hospital for a few weeks because we were pre-mature and were not able to go home until we gained enough weight. Even though we didn’t get to go home with our family right away, at least we had each other! We were actually the first twins to be co-bedded and were featured on the news before we even came home! When we finally got to go home we had to wear breathing monitors for a few months that would alert our parents if we stopped breathing. Needless to say it wasn't easy, and our parents lost a lot of sleep over it, but were so happy to have us all home together!!

Sydney is the older twin by eight minutes, however Ashley was supposed to be born first. Sydney decided she wanted to be older, so she pushed her out of the way. With that being said, I guess you can say our birth story involved a "fight," lol. Growing up we have always gotten along very well. Sisters really do make the best of friends! The only tension that ever gets between us is debating over who gets to wear what. We are the exact same height, weight, and size the and have the same sense of style, so we fight over clothes a lot!

Our plans for Steemit

We love adventures and have a desire to travel more. We plan on posting our experience with our different travels, recipes, and lifestyle type blogs on Steemit. We also want to share with you our unique twin way of living! Being an identical twin is something that is special and its hard for people to understand the connection unless you are identical twins. We would love revel that part of our lives!
