Well not exactly the 'latest' steemian because I joined this platform in April, felt intimidated , abandoned the account, but joined again early this month with a whole new purpose and fresh vigour!

Hi!

I'm Sunshine .
I'm a Nigerian medical student at the University of Uyo, Uyo, AkwaIbom State, and along side my medical career, I hope to be a professional blogger as soon as I get all the resources I need.

Initially I thought of running a health blog on the steemit platform, but finding that I am not entirely qualified to do that, being just a fresher in pre-clinicals, I decided to blog about something else on steemit, until I have enough knowledge in the medical field that would qualify me to be a health blogger.

This is because I do actually want to give people quality information that will actually help them and I must be a professional in my field before I can do that. Medicine is my passion and I hope to share the good news of saving lives and preventing or treating sicknesses and diseases some day on my very own self-hosted blog!

This is my first post, and I just want to do a little introduction on what my blog will offer, what my blog needs from you (my potential followers) and what my long term goals on steemit are.

WHAT MY BLOG WILL OFFER

So one undeniable fact we all know is that everyone loves stories. We all love stories, tales, myths, gossip and all of that.
Besides being in love with the human body and how it functions, and its amazing systems, I also write ALOT.

Writing has been a part of me since I could spell my name on my own! I love to pass a message ,or messages to people through written information.

On this blog, I will post interesting stories which don't just make you laugh, or cry, or exclaim, but also leave you a lesson, or lessons which won't be soon forgotten.
I won't post fiction, for example 'the cat and the dog'? LOL! No. I'll post stories about some iconic individuals or groups, movie characters, public figures, etc.
I'll also post poems which tell stories, stories about pets, motivational quotes, speeches and so on .

I believe that in the heat of all the crypto currency posts and numerous tutorials, reviews and so on , one needs at least one story a day to educate him on stuff that he doesn't know about. More like a breath of fresh air.
One needs something out of all the money, and business, and procedures, just something relaxing to read, and most importantly learn from.
That's basically what my blog will offer , so you should keep your butt gummed to mine, to have a taste of this goodness.

WHAT MY BLOG NEEDS FROM YOU

ONE WORD:
Support

There's nothing that'll make me happier than getting into my comments section and realising that I've helped even one person with one of my stories. It's refreshing! Refreshing because the first reason for writing a story is to pass a message. So to realise that someone actually got something from one of my posts is like the best feeling ever.

Please support my blog by commenting on how my posts have helped you, upvoting my posts, and sharing useful contributions or disagreements with my posts.

Also, follow me to learn something new everyday, starting from today! Share my posts with people that you think might need them. Help someone out there!

MY LONG TERM GOALS ON STEEMIT

A. K. A
I JUST WANT THIS GOSPEL TO SPREAD!!

So where I school, I've seen a lot of characters. There's so many people with different amazing talents, and sometimes when I see their works, I just think they should totally be on steemit. I got to know about steemit from one of my friends who is no longer on the platform. Very few of us (I'm talking one in a thousand) students know about steemit. I have always loved 'starting up things', especially 'successful things', so I hope to establish a steem community in my own school, to share this good news, and to bring more and more students to this platform . Sometimes we live the 'hard life' on campus, no money to pay for our needs, food, clothing and some extra stuff , and I think steemit is just 'manna from heaven' to us students. So I want to put this vision to reality, and I hope it works out! I intend to ' raise' a bunch of fellow students who will be ready to invest in this awesome block chain system and strengthen it more and more for the latter days. STEEMIT HAS A BRIGHT FUTURE! I believe we can all see that.

Before I conclude, I would like to recognise two very wonderful steemians. Like I said earlier in this post, when I first joined steemit, I was very intimidated and I quit, but after I signed up a second time, I decided to watch some helpful videos on YouTube. I watched some videos including some on 'how to write a good introduction post', many videos actually, but the ones from @spencercoffman and @brandonfrye were very informative and helped me a whole lot. I would personally recommend their videos to anyone who's new on steemit.

So a big 'thank you!' to you guys if at all you see this post. LOL.

Finally, I just want to say thank you for reading my post to the end. Please leave an upvote if you support my vision, and also let me know what you would like to see from my blog. Please stay with ME for my next and actual first post coming up in an hour . Have a nice weekend, and happy happy Eid to all my Muslim friends out there!

Cheers!

Hello sunshie! Welcome to Steemit! Hope you'll like the community here. As a start, here are 5 tips that we believe will be helpful to you:

  1. Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
  2. Get Steem rewards: When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
  3. Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
  4. Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.
  5. Have Fun and Enjoy!

Hello Sunshine, welcome to steemit! I’m @ichie1 and I’ll love to see your progress and success here.

Each day holds a surprise. But only if we expect it can we see, hear, or feel it when it comes to us. Let's not be afraid to receive each day's surprise, whether it comes to us as sorrow or as joy It will open a new place in our hearts, a place where we can welcome new friends and celebrate more fully our shared humanity.
