Hello everybody,

Had just signed up and this is my brief intro here on steemit.

I am Simran from India, 19 years of age studying Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. Just cleared my first year with a nice score and am quite happy with my performance . I have a great interest in free hand sketching. Whenever I am free I love to make sketches and can keep doing so for hours without getting bored. My mother is also an artist and probably I think that this inbuilt talent is from her side.

I would like you to take a look at a few sketches I have made, of course these are not the best ones I have made, but you will definitely get an idea about my work. I wont mind if anyone wants to give any feedback on these...am still in the learning stage so I would take that in a positive manner.

This sketch was completed by me in just 20 to 30 minutes and is one of the first few ones I had started with.

As a beginner on this platform I think there is a lot to learn. Steemit looks to be an amazing platform with real unique content and I think each one of us can contribute in a positive way to make Steemit the top social channel. I may not be very regular in posting my stuff at present due to my studies but will definitely keep coming back and contribute off and on.

    Hello sunncbs! Welcome to Steemit! Hope you'll like the community here. As a start, here are 5 tips that we believe will be helpful to you:

    1. Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
    2. Get Steem rewards: When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
    3. Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
    4. Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.

    Welcome nice to have you here , maybe you are lucky to be joining when steem is at a really low price . When price is low less people are posting and you have a better chance to earn steem . I highly recommend you post a lot and keep on posting . Till you get to at least 15 Steem Power. Don’t give up . I don’t recommend you buy Steem Power but I do recommend you post often till you get to 15 Steem Power. If you can not post go ahead and make sure to vote at least 6 times when you wake up and 4 times when you are going to bed. Don’t forget to get all your friends to do the same! I repeat I would never tell someone to buy 15 steem but honestly for 95% of the people here will only get to 15 if the buy them ! It’s up to you Good Luck with the choice you make
