Hey Steemit, Heeeeeey. . . Please allow me to introduce myself <3
Hello all you wonderful Steemians!!
I've been lurking for the past week, upvoting and commenting with a couple resteems in there, getting a feeling for the community. I'm impressed and I'm excited, and now I'd like to introduce myself!
My name is Stirling. I'm native to the West Coast of North America.
I'm here to share writing/ video/ photography/ multi-media explorations of the things I love, including but never limited to:
Learning: about everyting, all the time. The human brain is F$#@ing amazing.
Reading: anything well-written and interesting.
Writing: see above, this is why Steemit is so attractive to me.
Dancing: this is when the inspiration comes.
Performing: with my body, with my voice
Singing: I write songs, I love rhyming/ rapping/ poetry/ harmonizing
Storytelling: through any means necessary
Design: I'm a maker, I especially love deconstrucing, upcycling, and reconstructing clothing
Travel: 33 states, 28+ countries and counting. . .
Philosophy: Usually pertaining to some combination of the above.
Justice: I feel strongly about the inalienable rights of Freedom, Choice, and Liberty (among many others).
DIY/ DIWO: Do It Yourself/ Do It With Others is a way of life for me.
I have a lot of stories, ideas, and experiences that I am excited to share here on Steemit!
I graduated from University in California with a degree in Visual Communications and Educational Psychology.
I ran away with the Circus and attended Greentop Circus School in the U.K.
I've traveled the world performing and teaching acrobatics, dance, clowning, and creative expression workshops on three continents so far.
I love to ponder the intricate idiosyncrasies of the human condition.
I'm building a webpage and eventual blog, and I hope to share the sort of behind-the-scenes process and progress here, with the final product living over there:
✨ www.stirlingmoriah.com✨
I'm a recent adopter of the mainstream social media thang, so if any of you here play that game, come find me! The content on Instagram is probably the most representative of which past experiences I've been pulling from to formulate my voice:

And on Twitter I'm all about sharing awesome articles, gigs, and other resources I come across:

I've been filming and editing some short storytime style videos for You Tube, but I have yet to upload any of it, I'm planning to share those here as well as a side by side. There are a couple shorties that will give you some insight into what I've been doing/ thinking for my twenties and where I'm coming from, if that interests you please feel free to check them out:
The projects I'm working on currently include
The Single Ladies Guide to _____ [partying solo; music festival life; solo travel; psychedelics; rave life; circus life] ebook/ ecourse
Filming and digitizing a dance course I taught in depth for a month on site in Costa Rica
DIY projects/ Festival Life Hacks video course and ebook.
My hope/ desire/ aim with all of these is to share my knowledge, expertise, and experience and build an awesome audience base of humans interested in the larger books I'm writing and the music albums my fiance and I are planning to write, record, sell and tour.
I've completed the rough draft of a beatnik-y book about the adventures my best girl and I went on the summer after college. We won a grant through PBS to film and document our road trip along the West Coast festival scene, interviewing folks who "Define their own road in Life". . . it was quite debaucherous, and I'm working on editing the book that tells the deeper experience:
**** this is the preview clip that PBS edited for us back in 2009 of the road trip documentary adventure:
I'm planning more books about my strange days, including;
- running away with the circus;
- the nearly fatal let's-all-live-in-a-tipi-I-built adventure;
- going too deep too fast into an ayahuasca scene,
- operating an uber yippie retreat center on sacred native ground,
- growing up in red neck territory before the internet...
On a more personal note, here is a quick glance at the lifestyle I'm dreaming about/ into action. Not necessarily a complete list, just something I wrote for myself recently, and in no particular order, that will give you more colors to paint into your picture of me <3
Bucket List Goals:
Publish a series of fantastical stories that will echo into infinity *
record/ produce/tour/sell musical albums with my fiance *
develop multiple streams of independent income and direct currency flow towards worthy causes like womens health and feeding children and cleansing the Oceans*
500,000 subscribers on YouTube by 2018 *
Edit and publish the book I've already written by this winter *

Hahahaha thank you to everyone who waded through this word purge! I'm really excited about being a part of a forum and community of anarcho-leaning, out of box thinkers, because I was born with a deep desire to shift toxic societal constructs, and I feel like I'm among good company here.
This is soooo exciting! Thank you for your time and attention. Any guidance for my newbie self is welcome and appreciated!
