This is going to be tame compared to some past behaviors. I once introduced myself to a room of people wearing nothing but a sock.

I'll spare you that experience.

But I'll do a lot of shit just to get a laugh. My grade five report card said (almost) exactly that. Is laughter the best medicine? No...medicine is the best medicine. But I'll take laughter in most situations.

I'll talk about anything, and I can guarantee that I will offer little expertise or wisdom...but I'll do a good job of faking it.

I'm a #SABRmetrics guy. But I also think WAR is the beginning of the discussion, not the end of it.

I'll discuss #NFL until the cows come home, but I couldn't give a shit who the league's rushing leader is. I will, however, rant about how coaches punt far too often and don't "go for two" nearly enough.

I'll talk #poker with anyone. And I'll also remind people that some 99% of people who play poker lose money, so imagine the quality of 99% of the poker advice you get off message boards. My goal is to win the World Series of Poker Main Event and then read all the message boards of people saying how much I suck.

#scotch - the more it tastes like a campfire the better. Nothing wrong with a good Islay that tastes like the fiery, rubbery remnants of a marine battle. I don't mind it neat, but I prefer one big ball of ice. I also have fatty liver disease but I'm not planning on quitting anytime soon.

I've always wondered, if social convention wants me to tip 18% even for the shittiest of service, why not just raise the price of my prime rib by 20%, pay the staff more, and be done with it?

Wanting to be the political leader of a country should immediately disqualify you from doing so.

Other than that, I'm just a fat, hairy dude, whose greatest creation is his daughter who's now away at university.

I have a good career, but have never planned one...I'm not the guy who knows where he wants to be in five years (except maybe on a beach)...I just look at the challenges in front and go for it. Failure is fine. Success is better.

I'll give you my opinion on anything....you may not like it, but it will be honest. And it will probably be uninformed.
