Welcome Steemit! My thoughts and vision on contributing to this new platform!

I tried to start a You tube channel a few months ago as a challenge to myself and to try and help society evolve in any way i could. Easier said than done. I kinda failed at V logging, taking on more than i could chew... i was not ready. This is one of the thumbnails at my channel named: 'dkthrone'

Amidst a sea of entertainment, i endeavored to talk about meaningful topics that may help others like myself. To that aim, a fundamental assumption is made in that:

There is a gnawing feeling in the core of my existence that, something is WRONG in the world. Like something is always missing, regardless of how polished things seem at face value.

I would be eager to live a life of peace and fun and love and smiles and hugs, but in order to be authentic to myself, i cannot. This i perceive to be a 'philosopher's mindset'. Can you recognize a similitude in your own perception? Growing up into teenage years, becoming more and more perplexed as to what and why the world and it's purpose is as it is. I think that at the root of it lies the discovery of a young mind that people in places of authority... teachers, parents, older brothers and sisters... NONE of them know what this life thing is about. I think that in a certain rather inquisitive personality this realization can wreak havoc.

Sometimes such people may refer to themselves as 'old souls'. Striving from an early age to discover meaning, and search for absolutes in a world of relativity. When i was younger and more superstitious, i referred to myself as an old soul as well, and my work in poetry and music composition which seems outdated by all modern standards would confirm such an assumption about myself. But soon enough, i encounter giants of intellectual history such as Da Vinci, Nietzsche, Kierkegaard and many others, quickly subduing my raging egoism. I am nothing but another soul out of a sum total of souls who ever inquired about the nature of reality.

I come to you with no other reference other than this; that i have, for the better part of my life thought very deeply about all things of life, and in my search for meaning i have gone through a myriad of sources, seeking tirelessly to make sense of things for myself. I have studied ALL of the worlds great religions, i have studied ancient cultures and customs. I have searched through a large portion of European Esoteric traditions as well as the recently popularized eastern ones. And i have watched hundreds of hours of educational material on You tube in the last 7 years or so, besides reading the books of interest in any given field.

All this have i done, not to share with others, but to attempt to heal my own soul. To little avail. indeed the more i learned, the more i began to question my reasoning itself. And perhaps most interestingly;

The more i learned, the less i could believe anything in pure faith. It is as if, excessive knowledge has made it impossible for me to 'believe' in a system of thought that may otherwise be perfectly internally coherent. I became a skeptic in the true meaning of the word. I am quite averse to skeptics who have not done the necessary work, who are in fact bigots. I give all systems of thought the benefit of the doubt. I try to be as impartial as i can be in my understanding of a certain belief as seen through the eyes and minds of it's adherents.

I think that through the years i have acquired a particular skill to distinguish between 'truth and falsehood' ...be it in the realm of conspiracy theories (most of which i have delved into) or the 'judgement of character' itself, which i find very important... Who is this person that is delivering this information, and what might their motives be along with their personal credibility? I will write a post about this topic soon.

And i expect to be held up to the same standard of scrutiny as far as my character goes, if i am to provide meaningful information to anyone interested. There are some many aspects of modern life and reality that i want to cover... my cup of insight overflows! But before i get into all the intricacies of life, i would like to talk a bit about Steem and how i came to this platform.

So You Tube, as you might know, has become quite a monopoly on information. Through my years of research into some very touchy subjects, i have encountered many instances of censorship of relevant content that someone high up in the google ranks found 'inappropriate'. Recently the situation has escalated to where Google's algorithms simply do not favor nor produce hits for content that they have flagged. And that just pisses me off. Arguably the greatest innovation in human knowledge sharing (post internet) is now being subverted by centralized powers of governance.

I think it's about time a new platform emerges that will become what You Tube WANTED to be! So i stopped my work on You Tube, and i am focusing on Steemit instead. I believe in this platform very much and my first and foremost incentive for contributing is to help build it up to the deserved status of 'Youtube of the people'. I think the advent of Blockchain technology is the perfect time in our fast paced history to restore the power of knowledge to us, the people!

My incentive is to help grow this platform. I have invested in SteemCoin as well. I am very intrigued by the developments in the Crypto world and will be posting about that quite a bit. I am waiting for development in IPFS projects for media storage that will enable us to upload videos from the blockchain, eleminating You Tube and Google. I think we live in an amazing time in history, absolutely game changing! I will share my insights about the projection of recent history in further posts. I truly believe that the time is NOW to steer the tide of history in the favor of the people, for the greater good of all of us, including nature and animals. This may sounds socialistic at glance but GONE are the days of communist wishful thinking... the NEW era of Blockchain enabled technologies and social media exchange is here! What was once utopia is today within our grasp. If not today... then soon. Let us try and endeavor to usher in something truly better!

If, as i have, you likewise concluded that: something is WRONG with the world! But it doesn't have to be. If only we try and each of us together, change our reality one step at a time!

This blog is called 'Seekers Outpost' and this is the aim: to explore modern modalities of life, in order to make sense of things, make the right decisions, benefit ourselves AND society beyond outdated notions of greediness and lower-biology driven impulses to dominate and subvert morality and ethics. The new world calls for individuals not to preside over one another, but to SHARE!

I do not think this to be far fetched ramblings of utopians. Have you seen what is happening right NOW? The Blockchain is here to stay, alternatives to outdated models of organizing society have emerged! I used to be much more pessimistic than i am today. Today, i am hopeful, and inspired to LIVE!

I want to live and see what will happen in the near future. For too long i wallowed in senseless depression over myself and the world, but now i have a clear vision and an interest in the future, even thought so many things are still so far from ideal.

But i think there is hope, and beyond hope, there is a method, a pragmatic way of achieving personal, social, even cosmic equilibrium! That is my great interest, and my understanding of 'the great work'. What more could we aspire to as limited human beings?

This will be my effort in producing continued posts on this platform. I hope you enjoy the content and that it might help you apply ways to produce factual changes in your own life! As cliche as it sounds, we do need to change ourselves to one degree or another to change the world.

My name is Dee Kay, writing for Seekers Outpost, where we try to enhance ourselves and society, one step at a time!

Stay tuned, Thanks!

Here a few tips for starters snce you probably won't get any advice from those who comment under here, here's what I gathered thus far.
It's tough to make money at first so if that's your main cause to be on here grind that into your head straight away, that doesn't mean you shouldn't post content, you should, but enganging with others in the comment sections to grow your following is your best bet. Which categories?

Probably the introduce yourself one and the photography section but you can choose things that you have knowledge about too and then go from there just know that there is a lot of crap on here so plowing through that just to connect with others can be tough. Cheers.

Thanks, great suggestion. Im currently reading up on how Steemit works exactly, as far as voting power and tags go. I will take your suggestions seriously. Greets

Hello, Seekersoutpost, I'm just here to leave a nice Hello ^^. Unfortunately i don't have much voting power, but i will be back and vote my followers. Need to grow a little ^^. Have a great time @rightuppercorner

welcome seekersoutpost, nice to meet you!

Hello bro Dee Kay! I think your blog has potential. I will follow you so I can read up on other interesting ideas! Here, have this tip!

Hey bro! Waiting for your content to return the favor! ;)

Good one! Your account was recently created so welcome to the great community of steemit. There is an upvote for you and maybe upvote some of my stuff too!
As you are new to steemit and it can be hard for newcomers to boost their steem power so I suggest you to try out @MinnowPowerUp as you can earn up to 30% more steem power than just powering up with steem directly! It's a subscription based daily upvote bot that draws its power from a delegation pool. I made this post to explain the system in more depth and show how I earn over $1 a day in upvotes.

Thanks Half ninja! I followed you! ;)
