Always late to the party – an introduction

Ever felt like you’re chronically late to every single exciting thing happening online? Yeah, same here. Be it the newest hype mixtape dropped on Soundcloud or the seemingly intimidating world of cryptocurrencies, I’ve always considered myself to be more of a spectator rather than a participant on the ever-changing digital frontier. Yet that seems to change with Steemit.

Where are my manners?! Hello fellow Steemians! I’m Adam, a twenty-something currently trying to succeed in London. Trying is the key word here since I haven’t even started fulfilling most of my dreams and goals. But life to me is not a mere list full of boxes I must tick – simply said, I care about the journey, rather than the destination.

Being raised on a slightly toxic mixture of encyclopaedias and TV did two things to me. Now…my attention-span may be about as short as a fly’s lifespan but I do often get obsessively interested in the oddest and most obscure topics you could imagine. With that in mind, you can expect a strange sort of articles over here, ranging from think pieces about literature, music or general events to researched features about various historical periods and societies. Naturally, I’ll write about Steemit and the many ways it’ll project itself into my life. After all, I’m here to learn more about blockchains and cryptocurrencies.

Moreover, I also enjoy challenging myself in my daily biddings – expect guides on how to save as much money as possible in an insanely expensive city or how to travel dirt cheap. Since I’m just about to fly to Japan, you’ll definitely read a fair bit about backpacking and travelling to completely random and unrelated places. Long live low-cost flights!
