Hello World!

My name is Sakaya, I am a young woman living in the heart Appalachia on the east coast of the United States. I am an aspiring herbalist with a deep love for healing my family, community, and global community with plants. I spend my days studying herbalism, making art, gardening, hiking mountains, floating rivers, and traveling whenever possible.

My travels thus far have included living in a tent and out of our car with my family as a child throughout the east coast of the US, A cross country trip with my sweetheart and our pitbull Cali, and most recently a trip by myself to Bali to volunteer teaching english and explore!

I am just learning about Steem and hope to post articles about my various interests and find a community of like minded folks to share with and learn from.
