Reputation on steemit
Hi
This is @rupjo82 on steemit platform on 18th July 2018 want to raise one question to the steemians of steemit.com but before that...
Frankly speaking, I have joined steemit to earn money but after joining this I studied this platform these days but unable to understood this platform as well as the steemians.
I am unable to understood this platform why some articles goes to trending although their content is nothing but just one or two photographs and some bla bla whereas some articles which were created so well but in those posts hardly 4-5 upvotes and a few 2-3 comments...after analysing i found that its because of his reputation on steemit!!!
If a steemian have high reputation and he write anytwo or three sentences and add one or two photos he easily earn some $80-90 whereas a good content creator earns some $2-5 as his reputation is low and other highly reputed persons willnot be able to earn from these low reputed persons upvote so why they upvote these posts?
Today i have seen one post earned $400 but gradually his earning goes down as peoples of higher reputation then his started downvoted him...Unable to understood why but that article was not bad at all and about grow reputaion...
And the peoples with low reputation always trying to come to focus of a whale or a highly reputed person for getting upvotes in his post but it is very sad to say that he only try to do that but...
A people with low reputation may collect some upvotes by using bots but their views hardly bring them some cents with say 100-300 upvots but earning is almost negligible...
So, i request the highly reputed persons of steemit and the wheals of this platform please comment on this post and genuinly reply am i right or wrong?

Reputation matters very little. It's ONLY Steem Power SP (Powered up) held in the account that is doing the voting PLUS what vote % that account used determines the amount a post will make. 100 accounts with only 15 SP would equal 1500 SP effective voting power that is worth only about $0.12. 1 account with 15,000 SP vote would be worth $1.20, 150,000 SP = $12.00 vote, etc, etc. Many users have a vote way less than $.01 so it would take hundreds of votes from these accounts to have a total payout of over $1. My SP is around 500 right now my, 100% upvote is only worth $.04. If I would of used 50% it would of been $.02.
Don't forget: ALL of these numbers will change for everyone especially when the market goes up or down considerably. Hope this helps.
