My steemy intro... or, can one man change the world starting with nothing?

Hi, all...

My name is Richard.

I have many alter egos. I’m a wannabe bush pilot, a wannabe cowboy, a wannabe biker, a wannabe sailor, along with a handful of other personalities entombed in this beat up body of mine.

Most recently, I’m a bit of a river rat. I love the outdoors and I love to raft. I treasure my health, try to eat accordingly, and stay very active. I walk, run, hike, bike, snowboard, wakeboard, kayak, and the like when can find the time and my body will acquiesce.

My life has always been sort of messy. At 60, I’m divorced (again), broke and buried in debt (again), wear a felony label, and my body is scarred and bent, the result of a nasty airplane crash some years ago.

Time will tell if I can land on my feet again, but I invite you to join me in my adventure to try.

I’ve never been accused of being a smart guy, which I suppose in a way, is a good thing. It allows me to keep going in the face of ridiculous odds as I don’t know what I can’t do. That said, I'm going to roll up my sleeves once again and continue to compete with life.

A while back, the topic of changing the world came up during a conversation with a friend of mine. More specifically, we debated the probability of one person's capacity to change the world starting with nothing (or in my case, less than nothing). She doesn't believe it's possible. I can respect that as there are currently more than 7.5 billion people in existence and for one person to impact all of them in a positive way is obviously a daunting task.

Still, I think it can be done. I invite you to follow me as I attempt to do just that... change the world.

I'm curious to hear your initial opinion. Do you think it's possible? Can a beat up, broke, debt-laden, 60-year old felon, positively change the world starting with absolutely nothing? What say you?
