Hello Community, my name is Ricardo, I am currently 31 years old, I am Brazilian, more specifically from Barretos, in the interior of São Paulo, this is my second publication in Steemit, as I did not make an adequate presentation in the first publication, I am doing it now. I currently work in the health area in my city, at the service of the City Hall of Barretos and the Government of the State of São Paulo. My biggest hobby is video games, which I've been attached to since childhood, in my spare time I work with games in my region. I also take the Anime as a Hobby, which I follow daily and in large quantities

Let's go to another part of our video game history? Today we are going to talk about Pong, the first arcade in history

1972 - "Pong" The First Arcade

History:
Pong is the first profitable video game in history, giving rise to a new industry sector. It was of fundamental importance in the history of Video Games. It was created by Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney in the form of a console connected to a monitor (currently known as Arcade), powered by coins. The first installation was in a bar in San Francisco, California, showed the two the possibility of profit in the creation of Video Games. Thus, on June 27, 1972, the Atari company was founded.

Gameplay:
Pong was a 2D sports game, a table tennis simulator (Ping-Pong). You could play in two ways, against another person or against Artificial Intelligence.

1974 - "Home Pong" A Pong Home

History:
Pong's success was so great that it made Bushnell create a new Video Game, this time, a home video game. In 1974, Atari engineer Harold Lee proposed a domestic version of Pong that would connect to television: Home Pong. The system began to be developed under the code name Darlene, in honor of an attractive Atari employee. Alcorn worked with Lee to develop the design and prototype and based on the same digital technology used for the arcade game. The two worked in shifts to save time and money; Lee worked on design logic during the day, while Alcorn debugged the design in the afternoon. After the design was approved, Atari engineer Bob Brown assisted Alcorn and Lee in producing the prototype. The prototype consisted of a device embedded in a wooden pedestal containing more than a hundred wires, which would eventually be exchanged for a single chip created by Alcorn and Lee; the chip had not yet been tested and created when the prototype was built. The chip was completed in the second half of 1974, and was, at the time, the highest performing chip in a consumer product.
Bushnell and Gene Lipkin, vice president of sales at Atari, tried unsuccessfully to sell Home Pong to toy and electronics retailers. Retailers thought the product was too expensive and would not interest consumers. Atari contacted Sears' sporting goods department after noting Magnavox Odyssey's disclosure in its sporting goods section in its catalog. The Atari team discussed with the representative, Tom Quinn, who showed enthusiasm and offered the company an exclusive deal. Believing that they could find more favorable terms elsewhere, Atari executives declined the agreement and continued to seek out toy retailers. In January 1975, the Atari team set up a booth for Home Pong at the toy trade fair in New York but were unable to sell any units.
After the event, they met Quinn again, and, days later, met with him to place a purchase order. To gain approval from the sporting goods department, Quinn suggested that Atari demonstrate the game to executives in Chicago. Alcorn and Lipkin traveled to Sears Tower and, despite a technical complication, obtained approval. Bushnell told Quinn that he could produce 75,000 units in time for the Christmas season, however, Quinn asked for twice as much. Although Bushnell knew that Atari could not manufacture 150,000 units, he agreed. Atari bought a new plant by obtaining funds from a venture capitalist, Don Valentine. Under the supervision of Jimm Tubb, the factory fulfilled Sears' purchase order. The first units were named by Sears as "Tele-Games". Atari later released a version under his brand in 1976.

In late 2012, Atari decided to celebrate the beloved franchise's 40th anniversary with the launch of Pong World. The title, available for IOS, has the classic gameplay that enshrined the series but has detailed scenarios and modernized graphics.

Vamos a mais uma parte da nossa história dos vídeo games? Hoje vamos falar sobre o Pong, o primeiro arcade da história

1972 – “Pong” O Primeiro Arcade
História:
Pong é o primeiro Video Game lucrativo da história, dando origem a um novo setor da indústria. Foi de importância fundamental na história dos Video Game. Foi criado por Nolan Bushnell e Ted Dabney na forma de um console ligado a um monitor (conhecido atualmente como Arcade), movido a moedas. A primeira instalação foi em um bar em San Francisco na Califórnia, mostrou aos dois a possibilidade de lucro na criação de Vídeo Games. Assim, em 27 de Junho de 1972, a empresa Atari foi fundada.

Jogabilidade:
Pong era um jogo de esporte em 2D, um simulador de tênis de mesa (Ping-Pong). Podia-se jogar de duas maneiras, contra outra pessoa ou contra a Inteligência Artifical.

o Sucesso de Pong foi tão grande, que fez com que Bushnell criasse um novo Vídeo Game, dessa vez, um vídeo game doméstico. Em 1974, o engenheiro da Atari Harold Lee propôs uma versão doméstica de Pong que se conectaria a televisão: Home Pong. O sistema começou a ser desenvolvido sob o codinome Darlene, em homenagem a uma atrativa empregada da Atari. Alcorn trabalhou com Lee para desenvolver o design e o protótipo, e baseando-se na mesma tecnologia digital usada para o jogo de arcade. Os dois trabalharam em turnos para poupar tempo e dinheiro; Lee trabalhava na lógica do design durante o dia, enquanto Alcorn depurava o design durante a tarde. No final de 2012, a Atari decidiu celebrar o aniversário de 40 anos da amada franquia com o lançamento de Pong World. O título, disponível para IOS, possui a jogabilidade clássica que consagrou a série, porém conta com cenários detalhados e gráficos modernizados.
