My Life. My Story.

Hi there Steemians! I’ve got to warn you, this is a long post introducing myself. Well I am Nemielyn A. Fadul, most of my friends call me “Ria”, why Ria? I’ll tell it down there. I turned 30 last January 4, just right now I am tempted to tell how my birthday went but I’m saving it for my next blog. By the way I’m an Artist, a Civil Engineer, Wanderlust, Entrepreneur, Fitness enthusiast, Dog lover (but unfortunately I don’t have a pet and that’s sooo sad!), I’m a Music and life lover. I am from a mountainous town of Paete, Laguna Philippines (from the word itself “Paet” which means chisel) there are lots of artists here, wood carvers, ice carvers, food garnishee’s, painters who use different mediums, some makes paper maches, resin figurines and more. There are lots of talents in this town and I’m blessed I inherited one.

Ria as an Artist.
Painting has always been my first love, growing up, I draw a lot – that’s how my parents knew what to nurture in me, they sent me to painting workshops most of my summer days as a kid and my Aunt is my teacher together with her group of co-artists. Until I found my forte, I’m a portrait artist for years now and accepting commission paintings. Some are lucky to have my paintings for free, you know it’s a way to impress a crush right? Not all works, but as they got it they also had my heart. Haha.. cheesy!! ♥ I’m a fan girl too so to catch attention from person I admire (singers, actors) I give portraits of them.

Ria as a Civil Engineer
I’ve braven up men’s world since I entered college in PUP Manila. I dealt with lots of guys but none of them interests me (of course I was there to study), they’d rather influenced me to be tough like a man whom I believe I must, it requires me to, especially in this profession. Looking back, college was full of ups and downs not just because of Engineering Math’s but also financially, considering I was from the “dose pesos Education University”. My School is branded for having P12 per unit tuition fee, probably you’ll know, most of students there came from lower and middle class society but apparently brainy ones. Despite of all the struggles, I did not give up! I’ve finished the course in 5 and half year and I am never ashamed of not graduating on time. I AM PROUD of this!

After graduation, I enrolled in a review center in preparation for board exam, unfortunately I wasn’t able to take boards after 6 months of review, I did not even finish the review, I need to have my name corrected, from “Nemielyn Ria” to just “Nemielyn”. That time adding (three) letters on name is costly and time consuming. I was really sad and even cried seeing my batch mates took and passed the exam while I was employed waiting for the next 6 months. That time was rough I didn’t realized it was just a short period. My turn came; I refreshed myself again with the lessons for two months until boards, waited for 3 days and at the 4th night, still the best night of my life, when “ing” in Engineering finally slashed out. I am now a licensed Engineer. (11-24-2010)

I hope I am not boring you. Haha.. Today I work in a Government agency and happily serving the public. I am proudly saying I am in the Department of Public Works and Highways.

Ria as a Wanderlust.
Exploring the world or just the Philippines is a privilege that’s why I don’t waste my time. Come ‘on we have the so called “vacation leave” we haaavee to useee iiiiittttt! I love beaches, mountains, museums, historical places, and OMG! God is just the best painter you’ll ever know. Grab a pen now (oh later! after reading this) and make a bucket list of where you want to go. I’ve been traveling since 2012, since I’ve got a stable job. How do I do it? I am a bit insomniac and promo tickets came out midnights. I’ve set some famous airline to “see first” on Facebook to caught them. Woahla! Budgeted travels! My less expensive flight fare was Coron trip, most expensive was of course Japan! No promo tickets just booked out of love. Haha. That was my first ever travel abroad, and I loved it! I am so blessed! Hey, take your parents on an all expense trip sometimes their smiles are priceless and it’s one of the best feelings. Indulge them; they’ve put you where you are now. Soon, I really wish I would travel with a boyfie. ♥

Ria as an Entrepreneur.
I am a network marketer as well since 2012. I have picked just a stable one, having a passive income makes life better. I have learned a lot from it; this field changed my outlook in life and taught me to dream bigger and of course to act. “open minded ka ba? Tara kape tayo!” haha… Those words scare the norms, but believe me the magic is out of your comfort zone. Being in a world of business will let you forget your nightly teleseryes and turn to books for learnings. I might ask you to have a tea with me sometime, I don’t drink coffee. hihi.

Not just a passive income, I have been exploring and practicing my talent (painting), I exposed myself selling outside an art museum twice and just testing my luck. I have made money out of it. I continue accepting commission arts.

Ria as a Fitness Enthusiast.
I’m a skinny tall woman and struggling with my weight. It’s quite hard for me to gain weight, I tried working out at a gym but still this weight is consistent. I have just strengthened my muscles and heart to be immune from the heartaches. LOL.. kidding! It's for a healthy living and supposedly a dream beach body. I stopped going to the gym though, but my body yearns for sweats and stretching so I go to the oval and run, I also bought my own dumbbells so I can work out for free. I love joining fun runs and I hope I can be strong enough to be my crush’s woman.

Ria as a Dog Lover.
I love love love dogs!! I believe they have the purest love and the most loyal creatures. I’ve had a dog, an Aspin and I’m super guilty for giving him away after 6 months when my mom cried on me due her asthma triggered by having my dog.

Now I just go to dog cafes, pet my friend’s pets, and give foods to street dogs. Someday when I have my own home, I promised myself to take care of my own dogs.

Ria as a Music Lover
Music is my everyday companion, when there’s none of it I’ll be insane! My favorite radio station is RX 93.1 and I have made bunch of friends with the same love for music. I am also a fan of OPM bands back on my college days, I go to their gigs and even befriended with the artists like MOJOFLY, Imago and Paramita.
I play guitar and ukelele but not considered as my talent though, I know the basics and can play few songs. Let's jam!

Right now I am looking forward to watching my current favorite band LANY on April 5, 2018 with friends I’ve also made through being addicted to the band.

Why I am on Steemit?
Well I am an avid blogger, I love sharing my life, my work and my talent because I believe I am an interesting person. Haha. Might as well earn from it, glad my colleagues introduced me to Steemit.
