Hi everyone, I am very happy and excited to join the Steemit community.
My name is David. I am originally from Jamaica and after graduating from Stony Brook University (on Long Island New York) I moved to Washington DC, where I am currently employed as a program analyst and an application developer. I previously worked at The White House during the George W Bush administration as a web developer.
I love Python, Linux, big data/machine learning, graphic design, anything Blockchain, and my first love AutoCAD/solid parametric modeling. Yeah, I'm a nerd!
I am also a student pilot, a yogi, and a weekend warrior cyclist who enjoys riding Washington DC's myriad and beautiful bike trails. It’s always an adventure on the area’s trails - from one minute helping good old George Washington win our freedom: 
to minutes later, partying with the Redcoats ;) 
What else about me, hmmm. I am forever intrigued with the probabilities where quantum physics, neuroscience & health intersect with spirituality and mindfulness. I also love to travel and welcome all tips or suggestions for affordable and inexpensive international adventures. I am a big fan of Chelsea FC, New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Steelers, and West Indies Cricket Team - and everything Jamaican…Go Bolt!!

David, I have no idea why anyone would want to live in Washington D.C. but you ride a bicycle and that's good enough to get my upvote! I also shared a little steemluv with a resteem, follow and all the social stuff in hopes that your followers grow quickly and your wallet quicker :0)
Looking forward to see what you write about since, except for all the techy stuff, we seem to have a lot in common (I'd have partied with the enemy too.)
