Politics-trail Introduction
Who am I?
Hi! It's the new politics-trail. My mission on Steemit is to support political conversations and posts, and to make #politics great again! Especially with the hardening of political fronts, I want to share my identity, so you guys can see my bias. Hiding your bias or even claiming you have none is counterproductive in a political discourse in my opinion. I am @thatgermandude. I am a socialist, but there are many ideas in nationalism and libertarianism that I agree with. The only ideology I strongly oppose is “I say whatever my TV-Stations told me - without second thought”.
My policies
I will have a Zero tolerance for swearwords. Even if they sometimes seem to fit so perfectly, I urge you strongly to avoid them. Profanities are never necessary for an argument. This might seem harsh, but I don't want to draw any blurry lines. To be clear: This will lead to me not upvoting. It will not lead to me flagging your posts. I might even comment and tell you “hey if you could get rid of some of the strong language, I would upvote”.
It is rough to define politics. For me politics is a discussion about values and goals, this can be done on many different topics. But in general I will prefer to promote the traditional political discussions about recent events, speeches, actions of countries and ideology, but don't be surprised if your discussion about “hierarchies in the world of cooking” gets promoted by me .
I love arguing. A good discussion culture is invaluable to me. Please never be afraid to be part of a discussion. There are stupid questions, but stupid does not mean bad! Excluding people because they are not from a well educated background is one of the banes in todays politic debates to me. Personally I even prefer when people can bring their point across in simple language instead of hiding behind big words.
Thanks to @kralizec we have a politics ad, check it out and use it if you want to.
Good post I'm a noob and I like your style!
thank you, mate. Much appreciated. Looking forward to see your contributions to #politics !
I'll show you my bias if you show me yours...

I'm following you to know you better. Feel free to connect with me @lulita 😀
Hi lulita, you share very interesting thoughts on your blog. I followed back! Looking forward to your contributions to #politics :)
Thank you. I'm looking forward to yours as well.
So I thought about topics to talk about and I think I found one: Cultural Identity. I am not a big Lauren Southern Fan, but she made a pretty interesting video on the topic
It is strange that @laurensouthern did not post this on Steemit
What is your culture? Do you see yourself as part of a larger group or as a completely independent individual? Do you think culture is something you should embrace, just acknowledge or even try to get rid of in order to have more harmony around the world?
I will make a post about Cultural Identities today or tomorrow, but I thought I let you know. Maybe you got some interesting ideas on how to tackle the subject?
Hello my friend
See you in politics!!
Hi, I am looking forward to see the politics in you! :D
Hi, the world is not a happy place under politics. Research UBUNTU ' a world of freedom, commonsense and community, the only true way to happiness
I had ubuntu on my hard drive and at work. It is a pretty solid OS..
I heard there is something about that name. Maybe I will make Ubuntu one of the cultures/philosophy in my series about cultural identity. Do you have some literature/data on it?
Michael tellinger is the main man involved, you can check out the details on the Ubuntu website, I simply became a active member here in Australia, my goal is to implement the fundamentals here in a rural area, getting the wheels moving for the future people.
Interesting, I will look into it. Thanks for sharing.
too easy

Will be my first culture I present, do you want to make a featured article that I link?
Seems interesting, i am following
thank you, followed back. Looking forward to see some politics on your blog :)
There's a lot of politics going on here in the UK right now - we've just had a general election which was supposed to introduce some clarity and stability to the whole Brexit debate but most of us woke up on Friday morning to declare:
'What a mess!'
Whatever your politics I think most of us would agree that having a weak government is not in the country's national interest. I suspect we will be having yet another general election in the autumn as Prime Minister May will not last long now.... Thanks @politics-trail and good luck with cleaning up the image - no small task wherever you are based!! Following you now.
Hi @greenstar, I am German and the Brexit is an important topic to me, but I did not know that there is something going on right now, can you elaborate or point me to some articles about it?
I am generally in favor of Brexit and against the current EU.
Torys have a majority with DUP support. May remains in power but with a substantial loss.
