a "newbie" Question from Philanthropest
I am fairly new to Steemit... I would like some advice regarding 'etiquette' from fellow Steemers.
When someone submits $ to one of your posts, can it disappear?? or be 'taken away'?
I ask because one of my posts received $14.37....YAY,, but someone sent me a complaint in comments, and now that $ is gone (??))
Did I do something improper?
PLEASE advise.. and all input is welcome!

The $ you've earned are due to upvotes by accounts with significant Steem Power adding up. The person commenting had nothing to do with your reward decreasing. If you click on the small downward arrow beside the number of votes you've received it will show you the names of those who upvoted you. Your reward decreases when someone (with higher reputation I believe) flags your post by clicking the little flag in the upper right corner of your post (never done that myself). Again, if you look for the names of those who upvoted(+) you, you will also find people who downvoted/flagged(-) you.

I can't speak for the person who flagged your post, but I know people value creativity and original content on Steemit. Maybe the person thought the reward you were getting for it was unfair since your post revolved solely around a video you didn't make yourself. I think flagging your post only for that is harsh, but again maybe there is another reason you and I both ignore.
