I have been a passive observer of the Steemit ecosystem for over a year now and have finally come around to contribute. I am not a smart or particularly flexible man but I can be convinced to change my ways and here is a short recount of recent changes:

What has changed in the world that could transform a complete normie into a crypto anarchist?

1. The internet. I guess it is self evident that cryptocurrencies would not exist without the internet. This fact alone puts the widespread use of the internet at the top of the list. However, the internet has also played a critical role in developing my anarcho-capitalist worldview. Without the internet, I still would have discovered Ron Paul’s book “Liberty Defined”; however, Ron Paul’s, Tom Wood’s, Simon Black’s, and Dave Smith’s podcasts would not have been available. Just listening to and evaluating the points these men have made on their podcasts has influenced my thought has helped me understand the profoundness, beauty, and universality of the Non Aggression Principle.
2. Ξthereum. My discovery of Ξthereum and decentralized autonomous organizations changed everything for me. The appeal of Ξthereum was in the contract enforced by code on the immutable ledger. I feel like the possibilities are at the edge of my imagination that I can’t quite grasp. I admit that I loved theDAO project as well… and of course ₿itcoin.
3. The 2017 US election. What in the world! This made it clear to even someone as dense as me that there is no fixing the current system. The most we can all hope for is a peacefully dissolving the current government. I am still reeling in shock at the two candidates that were selected. When the entire fiasco finally boiled down to Clinton vs. Trump, the last remnant of statism in me finally died.

What has changed about me that could transform a complete normie into a crypto anarchist?

• I started a family. This has caused me to see the world in a whole new way. There is something about having offspring that has caused me to mentally take a step back and try to observe the world and the trajectory that we are on. Unfortunately, I have become very pessimistic about the future in all sorts of ways. Excessive sovereign debt, (perhaps) deliberate threats to health via vaccines and GMO’s, poor public school education, strange movements that seem designed to separate children from their families. I cannot trust the future that my children will inherit to the design of those currently in power.

Goals:

• I would like to expose untruths that have injured our health and offer suggestions for real healthy alternatives.

• I would like to see a giant movement to homeschooling and/or unschooling.

• I would like to see the structure of society transformed and individual liberties restored to the people. As is our right.
