Short backstory: I'm from Norway, and our country has a long cultural tradition with silver. Many expressions in our language refer to silver. But, like most western countries this culture has been washed away to the point almost nobody owns it anymore.

After discovering the silver story in 2014, I went all in on silver from that point on. After December 2015, the silver prices have started to rise, and I started buying mining stocks. Made some significant gains in the first half of 2016. Today I'm pretty balanced between physical silver and precious metals stocks. Going forward I'm loading up on cryptos and working to make that a significant part of my assets.

My professional background is business and technology. The technology part of me is what got me curious into this last year. Even though cryptocurrencies are great, I still love the fact that silver is a tangible asset. Here is a coin from Norway:

Got lucky with Ethereum

I've observed the crypto market on the sidelines since probably 2008 or something. Didn't buy anything worth mentioning until last fall. That was the time I discovered Ethereum. I got into the habit of buying 1 ETH every morning when I had breakfast. Ended up with around 120 ETH in December. Then it SKYROCKETED. Sold a lot after making 3X, and kept the rest. Today I have divested some of my remaining ETH into other cryptos. Steem being one of them. I even powered up to some steem just to see what it would do. I still haven't figured out if that was a smart move or not.

Like most newbies, I have a lot to learn.

Going forward what I'd like to contribute to this community is my perspective on what I discover, and also to share my story along the way. I've noticed a lot of people love to follow the development of other peoples portfolios, net wort, and investments. Eventually, I'll write a full summary, but as of today, this is how my assets are allocated:
