Some Advice For New Steemians
For the last couple of months, I've been actively recruiting some of my friends to blog on Steemit. Sure, some of them take on the challenge and invitation but some still reluctant to take this golden opportunity. Well, I think they thought this is some Multi-Level Marketing Schemes or something. When recruiting people, even with a so-so knowledge like me about the blockchain technology and the future of this platform, I can say, it's fun to see the look on their face when they've realised they can take some time in their busy daily schedule to blog, earn and possibly make a contribution to this platform.
The things that I always emphasised to someone who wanted to blog on Steemit are:
- This is not a quick-rich scheme. The reputation you want to build here would take some time, and you need to give your very best effort to prove that you're worthy said, the reputation.
- Never blogged something that doesn't interest you just because the niche made lots of money. The goal that we're targetting here is long-term. I wouldn't appreciate someone who expects to earn hundred of SBD in a short period.
- You can try to post at least four times a week if you're busy but try to build some connections with the other Steemians. Even if the article that we produced is over the top quality but without networking, you won't get anywhere far than here. As a minnow, if you focus more on creating content, you will get discouraged quickly, but if you focus on the people, you will find that this platform is a fun place to spend with when you have some free time.
- Always choose the 50/50 post rewards. The 100% power up options is not a reasonable choice right now. If you're want to invest in this platform, choose the 50/50 option, buy some steem and power up. You will get more steem power this way (for now).
- Join some fun and active community. We have a lot of national based, interest-based community which can make your experience in Steemit a whole lots fun. You can attend their scheduled gathering, join any competition or contest and eventually make some friends in the process.
- Help others. If you have any friend who is interested in blogging, invite them to come over. Share the deal and make this community flourish.
- Don't bother about the Steemit's politic or you can become one of the casualty. It's unfortunate for hundreds of account out there which have been the collateral damage to this unsightful war, but you have to understand as a minnow with a teenie tiny steem power, we can be destroyed easily. Just mind your own business and grow slowly. Someday, when you are strong enough, and you decide you want to get involved, be my guest.
Good luck I bid to all new Steemians out there. Below, you can find some of the people; I've recruited over for the past three months or so into this platform. If you haven't followed them, be sure to do so. The more, the merrier.
There are five others who are still on a pending registration approval. For some reason, the registration process took longer than usual.
