Eager to meet all Steemians!

Dear all Steemians!
I'm delighted to write my first post! A quick introduction is in order. My name is Natalie( Malaysian Chinese) and I am married to a Bulgarian (living in Msia). Odd mix you might say and I'll say hellya!

This Rice girl and Potato boy found each other despite the distance and not only that, we share the same core values in life. For one, we both are extreme believer that one day, technology will rise beyond the monetary, political and religious system, freeing us from all the system that suppresses us. As TM meditators (http://www.tm.org/),
we do believe in the law of nature and a greater power beyond our human understanding rather than the constitutions that is twisted and driven by power and greed.

In the recent years, we found ourselves drifting a little further and further from friends / colleagues and even family when it comes to common values. We're born in the year 1984, and hence we grew up watching how technology evolved and empowered us in so many ways, changing the way we live so rapidly that we are beginning to fear that we might be left behind if we stop being curious / self-educating.

Take for example, it's been years since I last queue up to buy a movie ticket thanks to the new Cinema app that allows us to pre-book our movies with our preferred time and seats, hell and even allow us to pre-order drinks & popcorn where we can pick up at the express lane in the concession stand.

On another note, Uber has also brought new meaning to our daily travel routine. No longer are we tied to the idea of a depreciating car purchase, but rather embracing the new convenience, and not to mention the 'debt-free' option. Of course not everyone sees it the same way. Many still assume the car you own reflects on your financial / social status. The question that bug us at times is whether the majority of the people are living in denial or are we thinking too much ahead of our time?

We are true to our values in believing that not all material things bring value or peace to our lives. We need to look beyond, we need to participate in the new technology and embracing it would only help elevate our lives to a whole new level beyond our imagination. Our forefathers, would never have dreamed of the power of internet nor the mere idea of crytocurrency.
Ah well, I think I should stop here and save some topics for later. =)
