Intoduce myself, you say?

Well, hi...I'm...me!

Without trying to mislead anyone, I will say that my job doesn't necessarily allow a lot of freedom to post, so I won't get into a lot of specifics.

I'm a mid-30s, socially conscious white male who is attempting to reconcile with the history of genocide and oppression that was often done in the name of those like me. I'm married, with a kid, and live in the Canadian prairies. I maintain another, professional blog on another site, but this one will be a little more free-wheeling and fun.

So...here goes nothing!

Here a few tips for starters snce you probably won't get any advice from those who comment under here, here's what I gathered thus far.
It's tough to make money at first so if that's your main cause to be on here grind that into your head straight away, that doesn't mean you shouldn't post content, you should, but enganging with others in the comment sections to grow your following is your best bet. Which categories?

Probably the introduce yourself one and the photography section but you can choose things that you have knowledge about too and then go from there just know that there is a lot of crap on here so plowing through that just to connect with others can be tough. Cheers.

Thanks for the tips! I'm coming into this with the mindset of "If I make money, great. If not, then I don't really care!" I'm more intrigued by the concept of steemit than I am by the thought of making money, I think it's a great example of a non-zero-sum community and I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes!

maybe you should do history and genocide of all cultures, why segregate whites, just cos we had the advanced tech..

I can't speak to what happened by other cultures, nor would I try to. I can speak to the fact that my ancestors did some horrible things in the past to those who weren't like them. As to the advanced tech, I would ask you to consider that as Europe was stumbling blindly through the dark ages, many non-european countries were responsible for guarding the knowledge of the world.

Thats fair enuff.. do you have any links or evidence of non europens guarding the knowledge of the world? and what such knowledge, as far as i can remmeber most higher tech was conceived in europe during the 17th centrury, telescopes ect., although china had the first guns from memory, altough crossbows were invented by china and ancient greece, i think a lot of things werer concieved early in arab world language ect ,but during the 17th and 18th century europeans were way ahead in most technologys if not all.,.
