Dating in your forties...

Date #1 this morning. Other than my ex-boyfriend, i haven't dated another man who is also in recovery. It is comforting to talk with someone who understands my story, in a way "normal people" can't. A recovering alcoholic has an even more narrow dating pool. Generally, if someone tends to be holding a beer in his profile pics, I keep scrolling. I have good sobriety, but it just isn't something I want in my life.
