Hello Steemit! I'm so excited to be a part of this community and can't wait to start posting, this is seriously an amazing platform for people and I'm happy to be involved in any way I can.

Now that you've seen me in two different kinds of glasses, here's a little about me:

Having spent the first 22 years of my life living outside Boston, I will defend Tom Brady to the death despite not knowing all the rules of football. And even though I still miss my Mass license plates, I went to school in Ithaca and have been living in North Jersey for over three years now, attempting to making my NYC dreams work. The variety of jobs I've had here range from smearing fake blood on a crying girl for a short horror film, dog walking, being a receptionist/personal assistant/furniture mover/chauffeur, dog walking again, and a great gig as an assistant producer. I've found that my happiness in a job directly correlates to how many free snacks they put out.

Though I somehow ended up in post production (editing, finishing , visual effects), my passion has always been in documentaries, especially environmental and animals docs.

I'm a cook (never a baker), polaroid camera owner, aspiring producer, and one day I really will start to train for that 5k. I am a temporary cat lady for two foster cats with only three eyes between them (adopt don't shop y'all). Things I'll probably end up posting about include food, television, travel, hiking in all seasons, whoops I'm unemployed, hopefully happy environmental news, my cats, and some adventures in music and hopefully beer making but no promises.

Here's some things I could probably give you good advice about:
-How to see a bunch of cool new things on Netflix then go watch The Office for the 20th time
-Making food look good so people don't realize it's pretty average
-Functioning on about 4/5 hours of sleep a night while hating coffee
-How to stop your cat from eating your hair
-How to accidentally dislocate your knee in front of a guy the first night you meet and STILL get a text back

Lately I've been spending a lot of my time volunteering on the board of the Hoboken chapter of The Climate Mobilization which is our local chapter of the national organization to fight the climate crisis through a WWII scale mobilization and education. Here in Hoboken we've had a lot of success connecting with the residents and local officials and have some big ideas for the future (as well as trying to save the future)!
