I first found out steemit through market caps of crypto and then discovered smartcash. The exact reverse from what you are doing. In any case I am also here to learn more about smartcash. It is somehow intgrated into steemit. If I understand this correctly smartcash is a smart token on steemit and it can be individual stand alone coin that can be stake, mined, and exchanged.
Hey @mawit07! Not exactly. Both SmartCash and Steem are independent coins just the SmartCash tipbot works at Steemit, so you can send SmartCash to a user by tipping him. If you want to learn more about SmartCash i would recommend joining our Slack or just browse through our website. We are also active here.

If you mean the forum, please try to resend, we had some issues days ago. Anyway, gmail is find! If you are talking about Hive-Voting page, just register an account and you're done. No need for an activation email.
