This is big guys. Matt is the guy who just sponsored the event that Michael and I spoke at in Hollywood (as described at SovereignHero.com). Now he's bringing all that marketing power to Steemit and BitShares and the HERO revolution in the form of a game with a big prize. This will undoubtedly bring a big influx of new users and big boost in value - i.e. how much we all earn from posting and curating everything.
How 'bout some help for Matt in learning how to use the Steemit and BitShares blockchains for a whole new world of use cases?
this asshole is the person who scammed people for millions of fucking dollars too If you do a quick Google search with Matt's name you'll find that about half the results are scam reports and warnings. Here are just a few:
All I know is he delivered one helluva great value in Hollywood. I'm loving that he is applying that technology to drive attention to our blockchains. Gameification is the future of marketing and his whole company (which I have met and worked with) will become a powerhouse in the industry. Nice to have all that driving new people our way.
@stan@abit@thejohalfiles@fuzzvest how are you guys taking this seriously. There is nothing of any real value here. Have you not heard the empty promises of a conman before? You might want it to be true but it just clearly isn't. As my dad used to say, what a crock of horseshit!
Who cares about an event in Hollywood? Why are you afraid to address the very real criticisms being lodged here. You are blindly supporting an obvious scam based on the fact that you partied with the guy?
Wow. Why u think the guy has no integrity? It seems u guys are being a bit hard on someone who just did one of the best promotional works for our tech since dan made steem.
I waited to see what would happen before passing judgement, but upon reading the initial post I was suspicious.
Then the guy bailed before 24 hours were up after making such a grand post, made threats of what appeared to be legal action simply because some people were pasting links to claims on the internet and asking questions in the comments.
It was a huge overreaction for anyone that was acting in good faith in my view. And it was a classic scammer reaction when they've been caught in their game.
I would never put money into this persons ventures. Spend a little, wow the unsuspecting ... all for the big con later.
So much fun and so many games the past week I hardly know where to begin! A how-to guide to risk-free wealth accumulation devoid of any jail-time whatsoever, if you know the right people, of course...
I don't think he quit.
I think he's taking his innovative ideas elsewhere.
Steemit had its chance.
I warned him this would happen.
But he just loved the idea of Steemit too much.
Had to learn the hard way.
My mom spends hours a day online doing surveys. I finally got her to sign up for a Steem account. I sent her this link. I'd love for her to find a new, fun way of earning money other than working for some advertisement company giving them valuable feedback for $0.25 for 30 min of survey work.
@stan@michaelx -- If you are able to give me a very brief real-time tutorial in reply, I would love that but no expectation. Since @matttrainer had few followers, etc-- and is new.. was his post basically boosted into all the action because you both curated/shared it? Was it because of the title and all the people who saw it in the introduceyourself thread? What was the key factor(s) compared to if I put out a post?
Thanks @stan-- So how does it get up to $700+ is that directly related to number of votes, and replies or deeper algorithm (is there best link to learn this?) of variables? Would two posts both with 50 upvotes and 50 replies garner same amount of $ (for example) or does it go up exponentially because of curation and other variables. I am not afraid to learn by the way, and I will do my research, but I also don't mind asking if you feel there's a relatively 'easy' answer or you have a favorite link close at hand which best explains this. I would prefer to learn from the best rather than running in circles. Again, I appreciate this could be long reply, and I will continue to explore, no expectations.
The reward on a post depends on a number of factors but the most important ones are:
1-It is not the amount of accounts that are voting.
2-It's the voting power (AKA Steem Power) behind the votes.
3-The median market price of the Steem Token.
In esence having more Steem Power equates to having more votes at your disposal.
Thank you @onthewayout - that's helpful and explains (right) why people like Stan and Michael and others with lots of Steem voting have pushed the $ for Matt's post right up.
we can do it without any "help" please don't rush I know you love your projects. Give them time and care, would you have liked to have steemit be the vr space game, that made grannies millionares, or would you rather have a community based on development, learning, growth and communication.
Just look at the site and you will see why you won't need VR https://robertsspaceindustries.com/ they have already built a galaxy. I just hope the game doesn't flop. So please we don't need helmet people ready to throw money and be running like chickens with no heads. I'd rather have smart people that can think for themselves and do great things like you and you're son. Thank you both for your efforts and the lengths you would go to to secure dan's quote " " .
I liked your lecture but it oozed marketing and I never like that it was fun and great, but I always keep some caution when people are conquering the world. I hope this doesn't disappoint you much, I just think that neither steemit nor bitshares is ready for mindless zombies. It's going to be a year or two, before EOS and Steemit and even bitshares are kicking into full gear that's just how businesses operate. We need reliable people, apps, ideas, and real world reach. We shouldn't be aiming at VR, I like the idea, but apparently neither matt nor mitchel are the right people. There are many great people lurking in the woodwork here with better ideas, earning cents or full zeroes. Going to collage, paying bills, trustworthy, reliable people that can do much more if they are given the tools and opportunity. Support them, fuck the millions. They are followers anyway, we can't all vote for a thousand copies of a person all dressing alike and thinking alike, the Mailey and the Gaga's I'm not missing that trending part one bit.
I'm going to make this into a post and maybe earn more than 2steems, I'm not sure if you will read it, or anyone, Still I'd like to hear your thoughts, because here I've seen only arguing and no real value.
I'm still somewhat on the fence about this whole thing. I know it's garnering an awful lot of attention. I'm curious about the "game" aspect, but I've been around the online money and MLM block a couple times, and it just kinda raises flags without a single google search.
I will say that threatening libel on a random online blogger doesn't show you in a light we steemians like to shine.
It's nice to be so super excited about big opportunities, but one should always read the fine print, especially the part where they let you know they can say whatever they want about success stories without ever having any obligation to show you a shred of evidence that they are true:
"ANY EXAMPLES WE HAVE PROVIDED SHOULD NOT BE INTERPRETED AS ANY GUARANTEE OF EARNINGS. WE DO NOT ASSERT THAT OUR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES REPRESENT A “GET RICH SCHEME.” UPON REQUEST, WE MAY ASSIST YOU IN THE VERIFICATION OF CLAIMS OF ACTUAL EARNINGS AND/OR EXAMPLES OF ACTUAL RESULTS ACHIEVED, THOUGH WE ARE UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO DO SO."
The video of the guys talking about the future of VR could be from a documentary on the future of VR for all the referencing of the company they do (none). So besides there being literally zero indication that these two dudes have any capacity to put into practice what they're spitballing, there's also really no indication of how they are affiliated with a company that apparently calls its home somewhere between the GNC and the CVS.
I'm 99% sure the "Cinema Technologist" is this guy who apparently hasn't had steady film work in years. And it's not because he's doing big things - at least none you can find on Google.
"Futurist/VR Filmmaker," Maxim Jago turns out to be a motivational speaker/filmmaker with a "Metaphysics PhD on the nature of being" so clearly an expert on getting a 10 million dollar game project up and running.
Neither of these two has anything about a VR venture on their websites, which to be fair are grossly outdated. Especially for guys who are about to bring about the next Great Leap Forward in gaming technology.
I'm not saying scam... but you have to understand the guy makes money selling ideas.
My guess on what the guy is going to do:
Start an ICO where people will invest in.
Maybe really build something... probably not. I think his game will be something sketchy where you all have to buy is token and wait for a centrain date for something that's not going to happen.
Cash out when the token is worth a lot
You can't find anything about the guy... only marketing. 10 Million prize pool? That money has to come from YOU first!
So why don't you just stick to telling us about the game? Why all this icky boiler plate marketing with get rich quick language? Who cares about how much money you made someone else? Or better yet how many lawsuits you've lost.
From someone that sat through the webinar:
5 minutes in: hasn't started yet.
8 minutes in: Finally hearing audio, and few mentions of a game.
28 minutes in: Just listened to 20 straight minutes of him talking about his past SEO success, saw him in a picture in front of some studios in Hollywood, and heard him throw around names, titles, etc. Hardly any mention of this "game", but has instead talked about people earning ridiculous amounts of money through different business methods related SEO and internet traffic. He keeps talking about people buying nice houses, he's starting to remind me of that Tai Lopez guy that I keep seeing in ads. Also, he just claimed he knows all of this secret stuff about Google search results, that no one else knows besides Google.
32 minutes in: Said 5 minutes ago we'd be talking about this game, but has hardly mentioned it yet. Just finished talking about how "small minded people" filed lawsuits, and tied up millions in his bank accounts. Also just made an appeal to emotion, by talking about his run-in with cancer, and his house flooding. I don't care if it's real or not, I just fail to see how it's relevant. Still talking about himself and his success.
36 minutes in: Just made an appeal to Christians, talking about how he would run Bible studies 5 days a week, and how he's read the Bible 20? times. Also, another reason to be skeptical, paid a hypnotherapist 6 figures. All of this "spirit quest" was because he didn't want to help anyone, and he figured something was wrong with him. But don't worry guys, he loves himself now, and we're the lucky people that he's going to start helping again (sarc.). Still no mention of a game, still talking about himself.
40 minutes in: Keeps talking about how terrible it is that we worship money, but also keeps talking about obscene amounts of money you make with his special methods. Also, keeps talking about how evil corporations are, because they make money off of us. I'm sure he won't be making any money off of those that take him up on his offer... Right? Not to mention, it sounds like the whole premise, is that the people that follow his method, will be making money off of the very same people these evil corporations were making money off of. Maybe I'm wrong, but some clarity would be appreciated.
45 minutes in: Finally talking about the game... And now he's talking about "Back to the Future"? He was so close to actually cutting to the chase!
48 minutes in: Actually said this is not some "make money quick" BS. LOL
52 minutes in: He's talking about the game! Oh my gosh! Wait, I'm actually interested... He says this game is being played not only with bitshares, and Steemit, but also 1 million ounces of gold? He says it's backed by 1 million ounces of gold, which is worth roughly $1.28 billion. Still, there's no way to verify this claim, that I know of (read below). He says it's held at Brinks, which I have heard of, but he gives no details on how we can verify. Hopefully more information is forthcoming. Also, introduced Karmakoin, which is now on bitshares, and is apparently the token for the game.
58 minutes in: Quick bit about Steemit, and how easy it is to make money on it, for the average person.
60 minutes in: Still unclear how this game works. Similar to Steemit, in that you make money for doing things, but also watching. Not a ton of details.
61 minutes in: Game is called "the mogul search engine game". Catchy. "Players" get paid for doing things (writing, videos, blogging, creating content, etc.) Still, similar to how Steemit works. Creators get paid first.
63 minutes in: Watchers also get paid, maybe more than players. Game launches in one month. I'll be honest, the game itself doesn't sound that bad. Interesting, to say the least.
65 minutes in: He's giving us "inside secrets", before the game is released to the public. The game is backed by the blockchain, as well as this gold. Mentions there will be more videos forthcoming.
68 minutes in: Now advertising for a year long mentoring program, with him and others, "Game Master Economy". Costs $50K (20 spots). Yeah right. Oh, but wait, there's "Game Master Apprentice", for 90 days, for $10K (20 spots). He's losing my interest, that he had briefly grabbed. But wait, there's even more! I can be one of the 300 founding moguls! I can get to be one of the first players, get early access, and help determine rules. Only $2.5K. That's $2 million dollars in earnings for Matt, right off the bat.
80 minutes: Karmakoin is backed 1:1 ratio, with an ounce of gold. Gold is delivered as the koin is mined. (Again, $1.28 billion of gold). Link here to Karmakoin on Bitshares: https://bitshares.org/wallet/#/market/BTS_KARMAKOIN
85 minutes in: Koin is not pegged to gold, but the floor is the price of the gold. I'm skeptical of this new coin offering... If it's backed by gold, can we actually take delivery of the gold? (I ask, because I don't know). If not, that makes me even more skeptical.
86 minutes in: Says he can prove this gold exists. My background in precious metals tells me to never trust someone that says they have gold in a vault somewhere. But who knows, besides him. He is now discouraging criticism. Uh oh. Is he talking about me? How does he know I'm typing this right now?!
88 minutes in: Says criticism will lead to people not being allowed to play in his games. Called out @samupaha, and said he will never be allowed to play the game. I think @samupaha is right... Maybe not. Regardless, I don't want to be part of a game that automatically kicks me because of some criticism. He's yelling now, that this is not a scam. Again, maybe it is, maybe not. Time will tell. But automatically blocking me for criticism, that's not the way to do it. Also, just threatened people that say its a scam with, with lawsuits. I'm not saying it's a scam... I'm just saying. Dude sounds like a jerk. You can decide for yourself if you want to play, maybe it's a scam, maybe it's not. But the fact that he was just yelling at this guy, makes me not want to be a part of it.
100 minutes in: Just more details about the special slots for the 340 first adopters. I'm done watching, if I'm not playing the game anyways.
-Note to Matt Trainer, his team, and everyone else: Ban me, so what. I'm not saying it's a scam, but I have been left with more question marks than when this webinar began. Maybe money can be made, maybe not.
My recommendation at this point: Be skeptical, question who is benefiting, but by all means, try the game out when it's released. I'll stick to my current platforms.
I think your note at 68 minutes is the whole thing right there. He only needs to sell one slot at the cheapest "mentoring" thing to make $2.5k. Do you mind if I link this comment in a comment on another post?
Good work taking one for the team by sitting through that webinar!
Thanks, it's actually a post made by another steemit user, I'll resteem that post though as it also has some good information about this "game" and the person behind it.
hahahah I guess his moves work on people, he's pretty well off playing other people's money, well their fault is with them. @samupaha 's post has a comment on his past scam I think it goes the same way :D but with a lot more seminars and maybe more yelling.
I agree, also I'm not sure if its the same guy but I found this scam report as the second result on Google for the term "Matt Trainer". I'll still probably watch the live stream to see what its about but, needless to say I'm skepitcal.
Curious how nothing ever changes. Or they change, while staying the same.
Because I'm a really olde pharte, I used to actually write for the "Income Opportunity" press back when we actually used printed ink on paper. Nothing "new" here, except the venue and the delivery system.
There are ABSOLUTELY four people who will make over a million dollars in their first year. There are ABSOLUTELY 11 retired people who will make $6000 a month working only 7 hours a week. There are ABSOLUTELY 5 people who will be able to buy a new car with their first month's earnings. These are all absolutely TRUE and VERIFYABLE promises and statements!
What's conveniently "overlooked" and "forgotten" is that there will be 100,000 people who "invest" from $499 and up... and come away with NOTHING.
That's how "hype-based" programs with "big star power" launches WORK! 30+ years of dissecting hundreds of such "programs" have taught a few things. Most specifically that "tall promises" are generally provable... there are a few dozen "superstars," a few hundred "supporting actors" and thousands and thousands of "losers" or "marks."
Whatever ANY of you guys choose to do, educate yourselves... and never give away your hard earned ching in the heat of the moment. Oh... I used to write sales literature and "pitch scripts," too... it's all designed to get you super fired up so you stop thinking when you "write the check."
I will either be upvoting or downvoting this post, depending on what happens tonight. Red flags are going up left and right for me. The amount of new users acting as apparent hype men that have magically appeared as supporters on this post is a little too suspicious to me. And the promise of a $10 million prize...I'm finding very hard to believe.
I would absolutely love to be wrong about this, so please show us some actual substance. I'll certainly be following this.

Totally Stan, #hero
Thank you for letting us know
your welcome!
Hi! Have you heard about @krwhale? It is similiar with @randowhale. For your information please click on.
@stan @abit @thejohalfiles @fuzzvest how are you guys taking this seriously. There is nothing of any real value here. Have you not heard the empty promises of a conman before? You might want it to be true but it just clearly isn't. As my dad used to say, what a crock of horseshit!
Maybe because we just pulled off one awesome event with his team in Hollywood?
Who cares about an event in Hollywood? Why are you afraid to address the very real criticisms being lodged here. You are blindly supporting an obvious scam based on the fact that you partied with the guy?
You have no integrity.
Wow. Why u think the guy has no integrity? It seems u guys are being a bit hard on someone who just did one of the best promotional works for our tech since dan made steem.

Usually it's really bad promotion to be connected with a scam.
hmmm, maybe he had enough from his last scam to pull off the next one even bigger!
So... PASS ME THE PORK! lol
Again, I am very disappointed in you.
And that affects me not at all. You called me a scam. You're out. Easy.
Stan your vote of confidence really doesn't go far any more. For anyone that doesn't know Stan has endorsed scammers before:
https://coinjournal.net/michael-taggart-involved-banx-scam/
Just watch and learn. No time or need to worry about such lame attempts to smear people any more.
I get it. You are profiting from this scam. This will just be another black mark on your record.
I don't know this Stan dude. And now I don't wish to know about him now.
So, let's see what happened. The guy quit already.
What can we learn about this? Maybe that it's usually a really bad idea to work with serial scammers?
I don't think he quit.
I think he's taking his innovative ideas elsewhere.
Steemit had its chance.
I warned him this would happen.
But he just loved the idea of Steemit too much.
Had to learn the hard way.
Has Matt served time in federal prison?
Good riddance.
probably that 71 year old grandma is with him now :|
seriously, people with money can be dicks, well at least now we know his evil plans and his mogul empire :)
He might have taken the "invisible" empire too serious with his game being invisible.
hi @stan,just a new guy on steemit, any piece of advice cos you guys are the boss.thanks..
No wonder someone buying my 0.00073 btc/steem order in DEX while current price is only 0.00054. Panic buying I guess. :)
Thank you @stan this is really cool news. - I saw the video of you speaking at that event, and it was excellent. I appreciate everything you do.
It's not cool news to get a serial scammer to Steem.
Why are you supporting this obvious scam? How much are you being paid?
No need to accuse him of getting paid, many follow other people's words and recommendations.
https://steemit.com/the50/@kurtbeil/could-matt-trainer-be-the-p-t-barnum-of-the-virtual-reality-and-blockchain-revolution
I'm in. Any help you need @matttrainer need with bitahares and steemit. I'll try my best.
I'm eager to see this...It would change the future for steemit as a whole... :D
I'm excited to see what happens. :)
Thanks guys I am listening live right now ... stopping fund freezing are what blockchains do best welcome to @steemit @matttrainer @steemboard
Let's get this game started!
There is no game.

Online slave work.
looks like he thought we played too rough, since he edited out the original text and left this n its place 'Bye steemit. You're not ready for this.' 😉
this is very interesting and congrats on your first post this is my first comment this whole thing is very exciting

I don't think it's the post. I think it's the value to Steemit and BitShares.
Regardless of... whatever this actually is, it has the appearance of a scam. I think this sort of thing is toxic to any platform it infects.
Thanks @stan-- So how does it get up to $700+ is that directly related to number of votes, and replies or deeper algorithm (is there best link to learn this?) of variables? I'm going to give you a perfect example of why mat doesn't bring any trust when I see his messages here, first off hype, second off lack of any past or present success(money doesn't measure, trust does, if he really had 10mils he either got it from other people or in the impossible way earned other people more to have such an amount) , now to give you another example of a person who probably isn't so downright greedy(because that's what taste is left in my mouth after his , you are not going to play shinanigans). Have you heard of Star Citizen, the "best" upcoming game, upcoming for about 5 years or so, development, development ........ . millions in kickstarter, contests, studios, people, videos, backed and developed by serious people the main dev being in the field for over 30 years, with past "flawless" games(Wing Commander) and what have they been doing, well busting their brains making everything work I hope, hahah ridiculous "This one’s all about Item 2.0, which reworks ships so they logically work as a separate list of components. If you’re a citizen of the stars, you might like our list of the best space games. In real terms, these changes mean that lights will turn off if you power down a room’s modules, or perhaps the atmosphere will be sucked out of a room as you enter."

#thematttrainermemes might need to make their first Steemit appearance!
@matttrainer thank you for helping to make Steemit more incredible than it already is.
You've very welcome. Steemit is going to change the world for sure.
What the hell is wrong with you people? If something sounds too good to be true, it usually is not. Especially when it's promised by a serial scammer.
I just published this: WARNING, potential scam: "Mogul - Build Your Invisible Empire"
Samupaha, you should read my post on the webinar. He calls you out in it 😄 @matttrainer classless.
Thanks, that was really funny! :)
You've been disallowed from any game we ever do.
Keep it up and you'll find out how bad libel is.
LOL, believe me, I don't want to be anywhere near of your games.
So who was the one to fuck off?
Buyer beware.
🤣
Dude, you can't get banned on Steemit. This is not Facebook.
OK you don't have to play. My team will make sure you can't play. Easy. Bye.
Lol. Yeah, no danger of me playing (into your hands), but if it tickles your fancy to believe "your team" kept me out of your game, feel free 🤣
Do your research!
I'm not saying scam... but you have to understand the guy makes money selling ideas.
My guess on what the guy is going to do:
You can't find anything about the guy... only marketing. 10 Million prize pool? That money has to come from YOU first!
These kind of guys ruin steemit
more info...
Thanks a lot for all the information ☺️
Hahaha! Yes!
It's a game based on what players do on Steemit so you are already playing!
#readyplayerhwhat
:-(
I promise it will be worth staying up for. :)
It's a game based on what players do on Steemit so you are already playing!
#readyplayerwhat
So why don't you just stick to telling us about the game? Why all this icky boiler plate marketing with get rich quick language? Who cares about how much money you made someone else? Or better yet how many lawsuits you've lost.
Your get rich quick scheme is transparent.
Regardless, you are an asshole so you are out. You aren't allowed into any game it do ever.
Love you too
xoxo
Is this Matt guy from Nigeria? I am glad someone besides me watched the "webinar" and reported back. I would have lasted about three minutes.
You should post this somewhere at the beginning of the post.
GAME IS FREE - PARTICIPATION IS UP TO YOU.
I think your note at 68 minutes is the whole thing right there. He only needs to sell one slot at the cheapest "mentoring" thing to make $2.5k. Do you mind if I link this comment in a comment on another post?
Good work taking one for the team by sitting through that webinar!
Go for it, or just resteem my post on my page. Doesn't bother me. And you're welcome, it was brutal.
While I respect everybody's excitement, your get-rich-quick-style language is really off-putting:
But I guess it's not the skeptics that you're trying to onboard.
I agree, also I'm not sure if its the same guy but I found this scam report as the second result on Google for the term "Matt Trainer". I'll still probably watch the live stream to see what its about but, needless to say I'm skepitcal.
Well it's not hype if it's true. If you don't like money I can't help that.
Well, I'll do my best not to FUD you too hard. Good luck!
I don't even know what that means! Haha!
Oh, something like "fear uncertainty doubt." I just mean I won't libel/slander you, even though I feel a pull not to trust you.
Well, the undertone is quite obvious, regardless.
He hopes that you aren't a scammer.
I think he just doesn't want to say it in fear of not being able to play the game, of life(at mogul )
Is this you Matt?

Some other people were wondering.
How Matt can choose the same name with which he scammed before? I thought scammers are smart lol
If you believe tabloid crap then I don't want you in my game. Let me know. I can exclude you easily.
Never said I believed it. I wanted to know your side is all.
No worries. People just like to be assholes. That guy posted that just to hurt my reputation and there's nothing I can do about it legally.
It is what it is. That's another reason to love Steemit.
A lot of people called steemit a scam in the past. Skepticism is healthy but it doesn't mean we have to be close-minded.
Life is a scam
Truer words haven't been said lol
Yes they have. Someone once said that life is life.
Well that's my name but that story isn't true. Has nothing to do with me or my game anyway.
I look forward to getting banned from the game!
Based on the summaries of the webinar, I decided to downvote this for now. If I see something redeeming, I can always change that vote.
Surprise me.
Same here. I might remain neutral but this whole story and who have voted and downvoted it is leaving me perplex.
Let's do it guys. Excited already.
im gettin pumped over this!!
Yes! You are gonna love this.
