What has a comedy waiter, sauerkraut, minimal photography and etymology in common?
Well, its me.
I ´ve got so many things I love to do and spent my time with, it makes me sometimes crazy because I don´t see a red thread at all.
I earn money by making people laugh as a comedy waiter. I do not really have a program I can perform on stage, but I get in contact with people and thus can easily make them laugh. I always liked the idea of working once or twice a week and having the rest of the week time for my family and hobbies. http://www.francois-perdu.de
I also love minimal photography. It means I like taking photos not to document buildings, but to create beauty. I am inspired by the abstract paintings of Vassily Kandinsky.
I think he said: „Paint an apple and you have the natural beauty of an apple plus the ability of the artist. If you leave the apple away, how can you then create beauty?“
Looking for the beauty is like seeing the world more consciously.
So I will publish some of my works here on Steemit, because every platform needs some kind of beauty. ;)

The next thing I am loving is fermenting vegetables. I am experimenting not only with cole, but also with seeds of mustard to make mustard, onions, turmeric and beet roots with hors radish, just to name a few. It is one of the oldest cultural techniques of the human race and it is super healthy and super tasty and super slow food and fast food. You can find more information on my website https://sauerkraut-online.de, unfortunately it is only in German.
But one thing I have not yet shared with anyone is my knowledge about etymology, which means looking for the roots of the words. It is very easy to learn and I have drawn so many interesting conclusions I like to share with you.
Everytime there was a need for a new word, be it an occasion, a feeling or anything else, it was created newly or constructed from similar words. During the ages, the meanings changed and the origin is lying deeply underneath lots of ashes and history. To find the original meaning or to have a look to the roots always helps you to understand whats wrong nowadays. And it is quite simple if you dive into it.
Do you want an example?
„School“ comes from the greek word „skhole“ which means „spare time, leisure, rest ease; idleness“.
Does this make sense to you? What about your time at school, was it like that?
I suppose you would not have guessed it, because the meaning of the word „school“ has turned exactly to the opposite. Thats why schools are not working nowadays properly.
If they turned to be the places like in ancient greek times when the word was invented, this would make sense. A paradise of learning and a proper place for young curious people.
Renaming our schools would be another idea, don´t you think so, too?
So I will post a mixture of minimal photos and etymological stuff I did not published before anywhere else.
If this will not be succesful, I will try to publish some recipes how to make sauerkraut.
So beware!
