Hi Steemians,

in this post I'll try to introduce myself and give you a few insights into my life and what I'm going to post.

Who am I?

The formalities at the beginning 😉: I'm a 28 years old industrial engineering (economics and electrical engineering) student and expect to finish my master’s degree at the end of this year. As a bachelor student, I was particularly interested in "human resource management" and "strategic and international management", so I chose these two fields as economic specializations in the master's program. In the technical field I deal with communications engineering and embedded systems. My student assistent job is all about the topics "Industrie 4.0" and the digitization of the partially rusty german medium-sized companies. As you can see, this first paragraph is all about my studies or work - a big part of my current life 😉.

What am I interested in?

On to the part where I'd like to tell you what interests me, what I like and what my hobbies are. My interests are very diverse and I am constantly ”stretching out my feelers" for new sources of knowledge and activities (yes, the picture above was chosen carefully😉).
Here is a selection:

• Traveling, often in combination with concert visits
• Listening to music (anything that rocks and has attractive lyrics: Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Tool, Scandinavian Rockbands, Rammstein, Emigrate, Audioslave, Placebo, Kraftklub, Alligatoah...)
• Making music: playing the drums and guitar
• Writing: poems and stories (fanfiction) as well as scientific papers (currently of course kind of “forced”, but these works are mostly fun for me :insert_nerd_emoji_here:)
• Arts and crafts (everything that looks cool and is worthwhile a DIY: Quilling, perler beads, origami, crochet work, knitting, drawing & sketching, paper-upcycling...)
• Baking and cooking
• Sports: Motivation is huge, sometimes it lacks execution 😉
• Board games and PC games, if time allows
• "Kitchen Debating Club" with friends
• ...

This also brings me to the point of answering the question:

Why „marlasworld“?

Even though the term "world" may seem a bit worn, it most likely meets the character of this blog. I don't want to commit myself too much to a single topic and instead want to share with you all sorts of interesting aspects of "my world".

What do I plan on posting here?

I plan to share my art with you. This includes:

• Pictures and drawings
• Photographs
• Poems and stories
• Craft projects / DIY

A second passion of mine is baking and cooking, so I'd like to blog about recipe reviews and my own creations. Since the world is considered to be big: "marlasworld" will hopefully also grow through my and your posts 😊.

What do I expect from Steemit?

I want to become part of a great community and to be able to contribute with interesting and entertaining posts.
As Franz Kafka said:

"The decisively characteristic thing about this world is its transience."

I think with great posts you can counteract this transience at least a bit, by slowing it down a little.
Last but not least: Thanks to @goodbyematrix: Your videos on YouTube helped me a lot to understand the concept behind Steemit!

nun wage ich mich auch mal an den Vorstellungspost und versuche euch ein paar relevante Infos zu meiner Person zu geben.

Wer bin ich?

Die Formalitäten zu Beginn 😉:

Ich bin 28 Jahre alt, studiere Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen Elektrotechnik und werde voraussichtlich Ende des Jahres meinen Masterabschluss haben. Schon im Bachelorstudium hat mich besonders „Human Resource Management“ und „strategisches und internationales Management“ interessiert, sodass ich diese beiden Fachgebiete als wirtschaftliche Vertiefungsrichtungen im Master gewählt habe. Im technischen Bereich beschäftige ich mich mit Nachrichtentechnik und embedded systems. In meinem HiWi-Job dreht sich alles um die Themen Industrie 4.0 und die Digitalisierung des teilweise eingerosteten Mittelstands 😉.

Wie ihr feststellen könnt, dreht sich in diesem ersten Absatz alles um mein Studium bzw. Arbeit– ein großer Teil meines aktuellen Lebensinhalts.

Was interessiert mich?

Es folgt der etwas seichtere Part, nämlich was mich interessiert, was ich mag und was meine Hobbys sind. Meine Interessen sind sehr vielseitig und ich strecke „meine Fühler“ immer wieder nach neuen Wissensquellen und Aktivitäten aus (Jaja, das Bild oben habe ich wohlbedacht ausgewählt 😉). Um den Text nicht unnötig ins Unermessliche zu strecken, hier eine kleine Auswahl:

• Reisen, oft in Kombination mit Konzertbesuchen
• Musik hören (alles was rockt und ansprechende Songtexte hat: Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Tool, skandinavische Rockbands, Rammstein, Emigrate, Audioslave, Placebo, Kraftklub, Alligatoah...)
• Musik machen: Schlagzeug und Gitarre spielen
• Texte schreiben: Gedichte und Geschichten (Fanfiktions) aber auch wissenschaftliche Arbeiten (aktuell natürlich „gezwungener Maßen“, aber diese Arbeiten machen mir tatsächlich meistens Spaß :insert_nerd_emoji_here:)
• Basteln (alles was schön aussieht und sich zum Nachmachen lohnt 😜: Quilling, Perler Beads, Origami, Häkeln, Stricken, Zeichnen, Papierupcycling…)
• Backen und Kochen
• Sport: Phasenweise, die gedankliche Motivation ist riesig, an der Umsetzung hapert es immer wieder 😉
• Gesellschaftsspiele und PC-Spiele, sofern es meine Zeit zulässt
• „Küchen-Debattierklub“ mit Freunden
• ...

Das bringt mich auch „gleich“ zur Beantwortung der Frage:

Warum „marlasworld“?

Auch wenn die Bezeichnung „world“ möglichweise etwas abgegriffen wirken mag, trifft es doch am ehesten den Charakter dieses Blogs. Ich möchte mich nicht zu sehr auf ein Thema festlegen und vielmehr mit euch alle möglichen interessanten Aspekte aus „meiner Welt“ teilen.

Was plane ich zu posten?

Einerseits plane ich, mit euch meine Kunst zu teilen. Dazu zählen:

• Bilder und Zeichnungen
• Photographien
• Gedichte und Geschichten
• Bastelprojekte

Eine zweite Leidenschaft von mir ist das Backen und Kochen, sodass ich auch gerne über Rezeptreviews und meine Eigenkreationen bloggen möchte. Ansonsten gilt: Die Welt ist groß und auch „marlasworld“ wird hoffentlich durch meine und eure Posts wachsen 😊.

Was erwarte ich von Steemit?

Ich hoffe hier auf Steemit Teil einer großartigen Community zu werden und auch mit meinen Beiträgen etwas beisteuern zu können, was euch interessiert und unterhält 😊.
Wie Kafka sagte:

„Das entscheidend charakteristische dieser Welt ist ihre Vergänglichkeit.“

Ich finde mit tollen Beiträgen kann man dieser zumindest ein bisschen entgegenwirken, indem man sie ein wenig entschleunigt.
Last but not least: Danke an @goodbyematrix : Deine Videos auf YouTube haben mir sehr geholfen das Konzept hinter Steemit besser zu verstehen!
