A part of me
Hello!
Nice to see that you landed on my new blog. I'm malixa, a teenage girl based in Vienna, Austria. In this and the following posts I'll introduce myself and you get to know something about me and my hobbies. Well, let's get started.
The first thing that comes into my mind, when I think about me and my hobbies is photography. A few years ago I discovered it because of boredom on holiday and photography has become not only a big part in my life but also a true passion. It isn't just the photograph. It's about capturing moments, feelings and places. Memories which are never gone. When someone asks me how I can express myself the best I answer photography. Expressing feelings and thoughts through photography made me feel more free. But also capturing them. Strolling through the city, maybe on a foggy sunday morning, and escaping everyday world. Getting lost not only on the streets but also in my head and seacrhing for the perfect capture. Photography keeps me creative and motivates me even on a frosty morning to leave the house.
I have chosen a few pictures to share with you guys. Some of them mean someting very special to me, because of the caütured Moment. Some others are just shots I really like because of the people, or random pics I'm into.
Not only my first try shooting the milkyway, but also one I'm very proud of. Taken on a warm sommernight midden in the polish wilderness. I remember sitting there with my friends and gazing into the sky full of stars. Definitely one of the most memorable nights.
This shot was taken during a little trip with friends to a lake in Austria. Out expectations weren't big but when we saw the bruning sky our feelings went crazy. Just love this picture because of its mood and the lighthouse with the orange sky. Was defenitely worth it spending more than an hour on the train!
Last but not least of my little photography view. Standing in a snowy Vienna and waiting for THE perfect Moment. Turned out I had to wait around 20 minutes because I had this shot for a while in my head and wanted it so bad. A cyclist released my from my suffering while driving along this white alley. One of my favourite wintershots so far. Hoping snow visits Vienna a little bit often...
