Canadian Artist PROVES ALL WOMEN Are Beautiful!

Malinda Prud'homme is a Mixed Media and Portrait Artist who loves to work in her cozy studio in Toronto's Art & Design District. Her greatest passion is using her artwork to express that ALL women are beautiful in their own unique way regardless of age, size, ethnicity, or personal style. 

Throughout her life she often felt like she was never "enough". Like many young women, she would compare herself to women in the media and follow the strict social guidelines for beauty. It wasn't until she began to cut outside beauty messages from her life (by avoiding advertising and keeping to herself in her studio) that she began to shed her old beliefs and truly see just how incredibly beautiful each and every person really is, including herself. 

It became obvious to Malinda that societal messages of beauty were harming many women, both young and old. This led to her lifelong goal of encouraging women to see how truly beautiful they are. She believes that the only way to send the appropriate message is to portray a wide variety of women and celebrate their unique beauty. She often refers to current superstars and models as "absolutely gorgeous" and believes that the answer is not in condemning thin women or ANY women for that matter, but rather including many different women in order to truly represent the beauty of the masses, not just one group. 

It is her hope that when women see her collection of portrait paintings depicting such a glorious variety of unique women they will be compelled to see that they belong among the group and are incredibly beautiful themselves, just the way they are. 

Malinda creates the majority of her realistic portraits with Oil Paint and/or Acrylic Paint on canvas but is also known for adding special details such as gold, micca, pearls, and gems. She absolutely loves her time consuming detail oriented work and happily accepts commission requests. Her work has been exhibited internationally and is being collected all over the world.
