Hi there Steemit community! It is good to know that there is a new place for a millenial like me where I can express, share, and contribute my thoughts. I am looking forward to know and learn more about steemit. So let's move on to my introduction.
"Modern Cinderella", that's what I think to myself Hahaha. Why? Because I am Ma. Cinderella D. Javier or you can call me Cindy for short. I am 22 years old from Philippines. I am a shy and quiet type of girl, but once you got to know me and we're close already, you'll see the other side of me --- the cheerful and happy go lucky Cindy. I'm sure you'll enjoy being with my company.When I was a child, I used to see myself as a nurse someday because many of my cousins are nurses and I want to follow their steps. But until I reached high school, my plans changed. I felt like there was something better for me and I wanted to be a civil engineer. I pursued it and now, I already finished a degree of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering last June 2017.
The picture above is me and the other SK Councilors. Way back 2010-2013, I was elected as one of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Councilor in our town. It is a kind of organization whose main concern are youths. We were conducting different programs like sports fest, dance contest, youth night, summer camp, and many more. It taught me how to associate with other people. All of my experiences with them were awesome.
This is me and my SUPERMOM. I grew up without my father beside us because he was working abroad before and was diagnosed of kidney disease. He died when I was on my 5th grade. From then on, my mother has to support me and my elderly brother all by herself. She is a teacher in a public elementary school in our town. She is teaching for more than 30 years. She is working very hard to provide everything that we need. Now that I've finished studying, it's my time to support her as a part of giving thanks for the things she did to our family.
This is me and my boyfriend. Just like Cinderella in the fairytale, I also found my Prince Charming. His name is Al Kevin. He's dark, handsome, but not tall Hahaha. Our story started during college days. He was on his 5th year in engineering and I'm on my 3rd year. My friends love to tease me to Kevin whenever they see him. Honestly speaking, at first, I don't like him. My first impression to him was a very naughty guy, tripper and bad. But everybody deserves a chance so we started to know each other better and I super love his personality, like there was a light coming out from him Hahaha. I love his smile, sense of humor, and positive attitude. He always motivates me when I'm giving up on something. Our relationship is 3 years and still counting. I am looking forward to live with him happily ever after.
I love plants. In fact, one of my hobbies aside from singing even though I'm not good at it is planting. We do have lots of plants in our backyard. I think I inherrited my love for plants from my mom because she loves planting too. Also, watering them is my way of relaxation.
This eye-catching view was taken last January 12, 2018 during our family trip in Baguio City, the Summer Capital of the Philippines. Waking up with this colorful morning bliss was very relaxing and peaceful. Everytime I see this picture, it reminds me that I'm blessed for I am still experiencing the nights turning into mornings, and I thank God for that.
