Hello Steemians! Introducing myself & introductory post

So, here's the deal. I've been procrastinating. Okay, so I've been procrastinating and lurking on here since about the beginning of July. I finally decided to make a post.

For you non dyslexics out there, the sign behind me is dated July 31st, 2017.

What's my deal? I'm here because I heard good things, and through my lurking over the last few weeks I see good things as well. I was not referred here by a specific user, rather just sort of heard about through the ether of the interwebs.

I must warn you, there's a lot going on with me. I've been dealing with chronic kidney disease (CKD) for most of my life and have had a kidney transplant, and endured 2 kinds of dialysis. While that doesn't define me per se, it definitely is a big part of my life.

The hemodialysis that I get acquainted with three times a week to stay alive. We have a love/hate relationship

With that out of the way, I'm just a normal 30-something living the life in Canada. I'm single af, but still date. I can't eat a lot of different foods, but still eat things I love. I definitely have obstacles, but I still live my life. I plan to use Steemit as a conduit for life's losses, loves, hardships, and hopes. Not all my posts will be kidney related, just like my life is not always kidney related.

Hello and welcome!! I'm getting good vibes from you already. You've gained a follower. Steemit is a wonderful way to connect and get things off your chest. You'll find there are a lot of good genuine people here. If you are interested in growing your following, I run a facebook group called Steemit Dreamit that promotes organic followings. We're a small group but growing. Out of the 28 people or so we have, i haven't come across one non-upvote worthy post.

I hear you on the health stuff. I suffer from ptsd myself, not easy. I work in health care with very sick people. I'm an empath so i really feel for you and other chronically ill people.

I'm going to resteem this for increased visibility!

Thanks you so much! I'm still getting the jist of this steemit business and such, but I'll definitely check out that Facebook group.

I admire you for working a healthcare, I admire anyone that does really. Honestly, all you have to do is look at one person that works in healthcare to see there's still good, caring, empathetic people in the world.

I don't know how you found my post but anyway I am a dialysis patient myself for about 15 years now and my body is so battered that it changed me physically with deformities.
That's my story and I hope that you also can find support from kind people from this community.
