Finally introducing myself: Top-rated Business Plan Consultant, Powering-up Steemian, Self-proclaimed Life & Society Philosopher, and Passionate Tango Dancer

in #introduceyourself7 years ago (edited)

I think that it’s about time to introduce myself to my Steemit friends, who have been discussing and laughing with me for some time now.

My name is Predrag Milošević, and I’m a 29-year-old beautiful, smart, funny, strong, you-name-it guy from Belgrade, Serbia.

I have graduated on Faculty of Organizational Sciences, worked as a Project Manager in a couple of companies, and dumped my corporate career because I didn’t like spending 8-10 hours on work + 1-2 hours on commuting five times per week.

I really felt that I desperately need more time for myself, and I’ve managed to get that time by switching from corporate to freelance career. Big thanks to my ex-girlfriend and current best girl friend @katarinamiliv for introducing me to Upwork. I’ve managed to become a Top-rated Business Plan Consultant there, which allows me to have a fair life in my country by working just a couple of hours per day from home.

However, about a month ago, @katarinamiliv also introduced me to Steemit! I will summarize my thoughts about Steemit like this:

  1. I came here for the money
  2. Very soon I came to believe that there is no much money for me here
  3. I choose to stay anyway because I really enjoyed the opportunity to express my life & society thoughts and get a lot of much-appreciated meaningful feedback to them
  4. After connecting with some like-minded Steemians, I came to realize that there actually is (and will be more and more) money for me here, too
  5. I choose to reinvest everything I earn on Steemit in powering-up my Steemit account
  6. I decided to decrease my freelance activities (I increased my hourly rate and closed some old contracts in order to get fewer jobs) so that I can have more time for posting, commenting, upvoting, and above-all enjoying Steemit
  7. My topics here have and will mostly include life philosophy, social norms, morals & ethics, psychology, history, and some beauty

I would like to take this opportunity to thank some of the guys who I already consider my Steemit friends because we have had multiple thoughtful and/or funny discussions here (sorted in an alphabetical order; my apologies to the friends that I’ve forgotten to include):

  • @citizenzero, who always carefully reads articles and posts comprehensive, meaningful comments
  • @doodlebear, a guy for whom I can’t decide if he’s wiser or funnier, very often posts highly useful and fun info
  • @dreamdiary, a girl from neighboring Croatia with very positive comments
  • @drsinmongwong, a very wise and polite grandfather from Asia with always thoughtful comments
  • @m1r1, an extremely positive German girl currently volunteering in the Philippines, lovely communication
  • @raymondspeaks, a guy with short but straight-to-the-point comments
  • @vieira, who always thinks about what he reads and adds very valuable and comprehensive opinion and feedback

In addition to Steemit and Upwork, I spend most of my time on dancing the Argentinian tango - I'm spamming this post with my tango pictures because I don't have many non-tango pictures. Here is an extract from my article about my tango experience:

I needed months of persuasion to try out the Argentinian Tango because I thought that there is no way that I could like something like that, that dancing is "gay", and that I would be horrible at it. Now I become jittery whenever I don't tango for more than one day.

Social tango has nothing to do with what is displayed in the movies. Social tango is nonverbal communication, synchronization, and relationship between two persons, music, and other people around you. It doesn’t require you to wiggle or shake your butt, but it does require (or maybe it’s better to say “helps you develop”) openness, relaxation, awareness, sensitivity, creativity, and musicality.

What makes it special is the way it is danced. It is danced in a close embrace (hug) with a focus on feeling, leading, following, adjusting, and improvising with your partner instead of doing choreographed, memorized moves independently or with a light contact with your partner.

Here’s a link to one of my favorite tango songs: Juan D'arienzo - El viento me cuenta cosas.

As an interesting fact, before discovering tango, I was mostly listening to punk music and going to punk parties. Here's my pic from a punk concert:

As I'm finishing the writing of this post, I feel happy because I'm becoming more personal and open with you guys. : )

Please let me know if you have any questions about me and, if you haven’t yet, feel free to check out some of my recent posts:

Have a wonderful day, week, and life!

Welcome to Steemit, @lifenbeauty!

Добро нам дошао на Стимит, Предраже!

Thank you, @lighteye!

Хвала, светлооко! : )

I am happy to get to know more of your personality :) Your way here on Steemit is pretty much the way I felt as well. Connecting with people and sharing thoughts is what makes Steemit unique.
Looking forward for more lovely communication :)

Hey @m1r1, I'm glad you found my introduction post! : )

See you around, I'm also looking forwards to MLC! : )

yes I was traveling for one week and now I have to catch up a lot haha :) See you around!

@lifenbeauty - SOOOO happy to meet a fellow tango dancer on steemit! there cant be too many of us ;) i am from the US but a currently in Abu Dhabi with my tango partner dancing every day and hosting milongas in our apartment (its just a short stay - off to Manchester UK next!). Im new to steemit but wondering if there is a way to form groups - maybe an argentine tango group!? would be SO lovely!:)

Hi, @itinerantartist, nice to meet you. I've also joined Steemit in December 2017 so I can't say I'm an expert about it's functionalities (but I can say that it has A LOT to offer), but I really like the idea about forming some sort of Argentinian tango group. After all, this platform is all about connecting with like-minded people. Hug!

exactly my thought!!!!

Hello @lifenbeauty, I'm very pleased to meet you, your comment on my introductory post convinced me to check you out and I am glad I did! You seem a friendly, open and creative free-thinker.

Sounds great that you decided to create more time and space in your life to engage with steemit. How is that going for you?

I feel I'm in this transition as well at the moment. I feel it's like a leap of faith but from what I hear, it's going to pay off.

I am loving the community vibes already here, and it actually blows me away that there are so many genuine, caring and supportive people here. I would love to be in touch with you, let's support one another.

P.S. The way you describe your Argentinian tango has definitely intrigued me. I'm always open to experimenting with different music and dance styles. Who knows, maybe one day we'll meet and dance together hehe.

And by the way, I am from Romania, so our countries are neighbours! Amazing

It's a pleasure to meet you too. : )

Creating more time and space for Steemit is currently not going completely as planned - although I've increased my Upwork hourly rate and closed some old contracts, new jobs keep rolling in. I don't complain, however, since this provides me with enough funds for life; thus I can reinvest everything earned on Steemit to Steem Power, which will pay off in time I'm sure, while I still have just about enough time for posting and connecting.

Yeah, the community is amazing, I would choose to stay active and share thoughts and insights with like-minded people even if there was no profit from it (although I'm not complaining about the opportunity to profit from it too, lol).

Well, I've already danced with some girls from Temisoara, there is a big tango school there, and some of their students are visiting Belgrade when we host large events, so who knows. : )

Let's stay in touch, cheers!

Ah, I hear you! It's like having one foot in one world and one foot in another. I feel the same now, and the value in this community is priceless indeed, with or without monetary rewards. So much to learn, so many inspirations to take in.

Thank you very much for the mention and for the kind words. You can be sure that I will follow closely your next posts that have been so far, quite interesting and thoughtful. Greetings.

You're most welcome and thank you, it's been a pleasure. Cheers! : )

There are definitively a lot more women dancing tango than punk and thanks for mentioning my name, very nice;-)

Do you live in one place constantly, or does you upwork thing allow you to move around?

You caught me! :D

I live in one place constantly - my upwork/steemit/tango activities do allow me to move around, but when you add all of them together, they do consume a lot of time, so I don't have much time remaining for planing and executing trips. And also, I'm a PC person, the thought of buying and using a laptop gives me goosebumps! :O

Very nice post! Thanks for mentioning me as a good person haha :D And I'm happy you like this, and wish you lots of success!

Thank you for the kind wishes. I wish you lots of success too, because I want high curation rewards from you posts.

Cheers! :D

Hey man, welcome to steemit! Wish you good luck

Excellent introduction. Steemit has been a fun experiment.

Thanks, @husamia, I'm glad you like it. Yes, very fun and very smart experiment! : )

You are welcome to the community.
