Hello, Steemit!

I'm Kyrum.

My interests include a wide variety of things, including

• Writing (fiction and nonfiction)
• Teaching/education
• Scifi (books, movies, tv shows, etc)
• Religion/spirituality (I am a Christian, but I love learning about the history and beliefs of different religions and philosophies, as well as having friendly-but-serious discussions with people who disagree with me, based in kindness and mutual respect)
• History
• Philosophy
• Mathematics
• Science
• Art and music
• The outdoors
• Traveling
• Politics
• Learning foreign languages
• Economics

Of course I'm not an expert in all these areas. Some of them I know a lot about. Others are just things that are interesting to me and I would like to learn more about in the future.

How did I hear about Steemit? Well, I'd been developing some curiosity about cryptocurrencies for a while when a few weeks ago I found and watched a bunch of videos on YouTube by @louisthomas, and through him I discovered Steemit. I thought it might be a good place to try posting some of the short stories I hope to write and see if I can get some people to read them.

I (at least hopefully!) am just starting out on my journey as a writer. Hopefully over the next couple years I can develop to the point where I'm regularly writing and posting some short, fun stuff that many people enjoy reading. Eventually I would like to get to the point of publishing some full-length books (like, paper-and-ink books that people could buy on Amazon or whatever). I currently have in mind several ideas for novels I'd like to write, as well as a couple ideas for non-fiction books. But it takes a lot of time and hard work to do all the planning, outlining, writing, and revising that are necessary to take an initial good idea and fully develop it into a good book.

I hope that some of you people out there on Steemit will stick with me and follow my progress from this initial point, to becoming a successful published author!!
