Welcome aboard @glugster We just gave our first try at koi pond this year, you can see some pics on my blog. Learning some lessons the hard way. Apparently with all the sun, the algae blooms were a big problem and we need a UV light system on our filter... We also found after 2 failed attempts that the water from our well is WAY too high in ph for the fish to live more than a few days... Hopefully we'll have better luck this year now that we learned those lessons. Your water and koi look amazing!
Getting the pond water to the right balance is part of the fun. I recommend you don't put any high-value koi in the pond until you are sure you have it right. You could even put some goldfish in there initially to get the water right.
