Allow Myself To Introduce Myself , My Name Is....

Hello Everyone,

This is not my first post but surely should have been, I tend to get ahead of myself sometimes, lol, so here is my #introduceyourself post. My name is James, I am 26 years young and originally from Chicago, Illinois but now reside in Arizona. I am interested in technology, cryptocurrency, music, philosophy, poetry, trading, healthy lifestyles, and art. My future posts will most likely revolve around those things. I am very excited to become apart of this wonderful community. I really feel like I am a part of something special and revolutionary.

I first came across the idea of blockchain in the form of Bitcoin in late 2010. I remember discussing the idea with friends and family , who thought I was crazy for even considering buying something like Bitcoin. I was convinced it was not worth investing in and I moved on with my life forgetting about Bitcoin all together until a call from a friend in mid 2017, who asks me if I ever invested in Bitcoin, which I said "No, I have not thought about it in years."Mind you, this was also one of the friends that thought I was off my rocker for even thinking about digital currencies. Needless to say I missed out on a very big opportunity. I am bent on following my gut and intuition now more then ever, and it tells me crypto will be the future of how we transact with each other.

After rekindling my interest in cryptocurrency , I embarked on a journey full of ups and downs in the cryptosphere to learn as much as I could. From falling victim( I take full responsibility for my decisions) to the #chaincoin and #bitconnect fiascoes, to making decent returns from other investments in crypto, I have learned some hard and valuable lessons in the last year. I am by no means an expert in this space, then again who is, but I would like help others avoid some of the pitfalls I made and inspire and motivate each other.

Which brings me to the present, I originally heard about Steemit through watching @trevonjb videos on YouTube and was intrigued with the idea of the platform. I joined Steemit around August 2017 and have just now began to use the platform because for the longest, I could not believe that there was a platform that paid you for creating and curating content. Yes, I initially thought #Steemit was to good to be true. I am glad that a platform like this exists to give everyone and opportunity to earn cryptocurrency. I intend bring better content as I become more knowledgeable with the steemit platform, Well that is just a little about me and I am glad to be here. I look forward to interacting more with the #Steemit community and building relationships and networking with everyone.
