ABOUT US

You might wonder what our blog name stands for it’s a combination of our names Terry and Kaye plus our terrific friendship. We decided to make a blog that would inspire others with our thoughts and photographs, and mostly travel suggestions and guides. We want to promote Mindanao and take away negative thoughts of our lovely home.

We’re not the type of bestfriends who have anniversaries or as they say “friendsary”. We believe that friendship is not about how long you’ve met the person or known him. It’s about the moments you shared and the memories you’ve made together.

We share the same hobbies and we’ve got this twin-like abilities/feels.(We think so).We love to travel, watch movies,and do foodtrips together. We dream of climbing Mt. Dulangdulang, second highest peak of the Philippines, once we finish our degree.

We decided to make “about me” for ourselves so that you might know us more individually

I’m a transferee from Misamis University and currently studying at University of Cebu-Main taking up B.S. in Civil Engineering and will hopefully graduate next school year.

Aside from travelling, I also love taking photographs and writing poems or short stories. I also engaged myself to painting and just paint my stress away. I am practicing and enhancing my cooking skills especially when your living alone in this urban jungle. I usually spend my time in reading books, webtoons, and mangas. Yes, I like anime and cartoons. I just can’t get over them. Tom and Jerry never gets old. Despite all these activities, I still managed to have a separate time for my academics as well.

F=ma, the Pythagorean theorem, and the quadratic equation are the formulas I know by heart.

Since I was young, I always get fascinated by structures especially bridges.I was ambitious when I was a child, I told myself that I’d be a great engineer someday. During my highschool days, there were some folks who discouraged me to take up engineering and told me that I only chose the program so that I could be surrounded by men and that I was weak just because of my gender. But those talks never hindered me from pursuing my dream profession.

In my engineering life, I also experienced failure and realized that you only fail when you stop trying. No matter how life knocks you down you just gotta get up. I just had to acknowledge, accept, and not associate. Acknowledge the mistakes, accept the situation, and avoid associating the same mistakes I did before. Not everything, even the best of things, is done smoothly. I just had to persevere after all

How’d I know about Steemit?

Steemit was introduced to me by @smaeunabs and her co-workers, who are also steemit users, in which I’m currently having my internship. They encouraged me to sign up and told me that it might be a big help in the near future. I started to talk to Terry about it and he also wanted to be part of it and that’s how TERRAYEFIC was created.

I’m John Terry and I am a proud CMUan. I am studying at Central Mindanao University taking up B.S. in Civil Engineering and will also be graduating next school year, hopefully.

It is already given that I love to travel so these are some interesting parts about myself: I am an adventurer and a table tennis player. I am an expert at cooking pancit canton and other instant noodles. I have love for shoes and usually gets the best pair for a VERY cheap price. Annoying Kaye has always been my specialty. I have a passion for photography and editing. I believe that the greatest temptation is FOOD. No matter how much food I eat, I never gain weight.

Living in a beautiful province called Bukidnon, I always get to have treks and chase waterfalls. The view here is just breathtaking. I’ve always loved my hometown and I want other people to love it too and to eradicate their negative thoughts when they hear the word “Mindanao”.

Just like Kaye, I also was amazed by structures especially highrise buildings. Somehow, just by looking at them I felt that the “engineering life“ was calling me. I think it was fate. I chose this program and never thought that I could love it. I wanted to do my best in every course yet I disappointed myself. I experienced failure and was quite depressed by the situation. I almost gave up and shifted to a different program but a friend, you know who that is, told me that I just needed to try again until I get it right and to accept my mistakes and keep moving forward. Positivity and acceptance is a key to success

Why are we here?

We’ve learned that just by posting blogs we could also earn from it. After steemit was introduced to us, we decided to give it a go. Blogging and taking photographs has always been our passion. And we want to share our travels and experiences to other people as well. We also want to be able to pay for our own tuition, rents, and other necessities. That we believe would lighten up our parents burden. In short, we want to be financially independent.
