About Me

Hello STEEM community! My name is Jordan and I'm just your ordinary 17 year old attending my final year of high school. I consider myself a gamer, environmentalist, photographer, and technology enthusiast. I am currently living in the low income bracket with a single mother near the poverty line and am required to work a minimal wage part time job alongside my studies to help pay bills since I was 15. I've had to endure a lot of hardships throughout my life like illnesses and lack of money but I always worked my hardest so I can one day improve my conditions for myself and eventually others.

Altcoin Buzz Community

Having heard of the term Cryptocurrency back in November I began to start researching about it and as I got more interested I started to look for videos on Youtube. That was when I stumbled upon the Altcoin Buzz Youtube channel which only had a few thousand subscribers in its early days. It has now since grew to 175k subscribers and they just joined the STEEM community last week! They have a very inclusive and informative Cryptocurrency community and I advise you to check out @altcoinbuzz videos as they do daily uploads and reviews on all types of cryptocurrencies and new ICOs. I am proud to be apart of the Altcoin Buzz Army and look forward to others joining me in learning about what Blockchain Technology can do for our world!

Invested All my Money

Discovering about Cryptocurrency and STEEM was a huge motivation and inspiration for myself. Despite all my friends telling me not to invest in these "Scam" coins and "fake" technology I took a risk and bought my first coins. Obviously only working part time and having to pay the bills, I only had my post secondary savings which consisted of only about a thousand dollars, which really isn't much at all to pay for university fees. Yes, I put every dime I had in my savings into Cryptocurrencies. I know to a lot of you a thousand dollars probably isn't much at all and pales in comparison to your portfolio but it is everything I have saved up in the last 3 years for my future and I put it all into something that I believe has potential and limitless possibilities. It can seem risky but I think its worth the risk since a thousand dollars wouldn't get me really far in terms of university tuition so I'm willing to risk it.

Going against Rules and Limitations

Being a 17 year old and trying to invest is not easy at all. Every website requires me to be 18+ of age including CoinBase, Kraken, Poloniex...etc. Obviously I'm not going to let that stop me from stepping foot into the Cryptocurrency world, so I looked up the options I had. At last I found out about Bitcoin ATMs and that they were all around my city. That was good news, but obviously it had its cons. It had fees of over 10%!!! Having no other options I went ahead and put all my money in Litecoins and purchased about 8 of them in early December.

So far as of today, my initial investment in Litecoin (LTC) is +60% in less than 2 months! I have recently purchased a bit of STEEM and it is up around +10% already in a week! 

I will be holding my current investments for a long time and will definitely be looking at other investment as the year of 2018 in cryptocurrency comes along. Like many said "2018 is the bull year for cryptocurrency" and I have high hopes for this incoming bull run upwards and the technology!

I want to grow on the Steemit Platform - I'll Need Your Help!

I am looking forward to be a content creator on this platform and I hope I can create educational, informative and funny articles for the community. I may produce short news updates and funny jokes and articles or maybe I'll also do coin reviews. As a teenage investor in Cryptocurrency and the Steem Platform I hope I can encourage other young investors to join in the Steem Community! I will try to answer every comment and follow those of you back with a similar mindset and hopefully grow as a community.
