Just lil ol' me!

So after reading the welcome page I decided that it might be a good idea to make an introduce myself post as suggested. Honestly, I'm not all that interesting. BUT...I am a great cook and that is mostly what I will probably be sharing here with you all. Alright let's get to some basics.

I am a 42 year old woman who lives in Michigan. I work full time in IT support for a mental health agency and I have about a gazillion projects started at home that I never seem to find the time for, because let's be real, sitting on the computer and spending hours lost in the time sink that is YouTube or Pinterest is way more fun than painting walls and now I have Steemit to occupy my time...my poor walls will never be painted.

I am married to my husband of 21 years, we have a 20 year old son and an adorable Shih Tzu named Madeline, Maddie for short, who might even make some appearances on my blog from time to time.

I'm a gamer. I've probably either played or tested most major MMOs and am currently playing ARK on a private server with friends. I have an obsession with old cook books and like to make recipes that are full of things that are probably bad for me (like butter and lard) but I do modernize them by adding my own twist to things.

I like making crafts, sewing and reading. A friend long ago called my preferred books "lady porn" and it kinda stuck, it is NOT a crime to like romance dammit! My favorite authors at the moment are Kresley Cole and Sherrilyn Kenyon. I have a habit of reading all of the books an author I like writes then get bummed when I have nothing left to read.

In the warmer months, which to be frank isn't much in Michigan, my husband and I go camping a lot. We have a 17' travel trailer that is perfect for us and Maddie, and sometimes our son even though he is too tall to fit on the little fold down table bed. We go every year with friends of ours to camp somewhere new. We met them online gaming a loooooooooong time ago. They were in our guild and we still, 15 years later, meet up every year to hang out for a week "in real life".

Wow that is a much longer post than I thought I could come up with. Ok, maybe I am a little bit interesting.
