I've always been dreaming of creating my own contents that are not professionally related to me, and got to know about Steemit. The idea of being able to freely write and getting rewarded for that is just mind-blowing. Anyway, I'd like to make a simple introduction of myself.

1. Me as a Designer

Throughout my relatively short career, I was fortunate enough to get involved in very very interesting projects. During my freelancing phase, I worked on character designs, product design, and environment design for some of the industry leading tech companies and advertising agencies. I recently moved from LA to San Diego for a new job opportunity and it has been a great experience so far.

I started studying art later than most people that do art for living; I first started drawing seriously after I already graduated from high school. I was fortunate enough to get into an art school in Los Angeles to become a designer.

I wish I can show some professional work on Steemit, but due to copyright issues… (the client companies own them) here are some of my personal work. I have a lot of love for science fiction and robots as you can clearly tell...

2. Me as an Investor

Aside from working as a designer, I really enjoy trading stocks for small profits. Unlike designing, I was never formally trained to buy and sell stocks, but it is actually not as difficult as it might sound. In some of my future posts, I would like to share some of the things that I’ve learned about trading stocks and making investments in the market. I believe that it is crucial that anyone starts investing as soon as possible in order to get closer to financial liberty. You can start investing if you only have a few hundred dollars to start with!

From my postings on stock investment, you can expect to learn…

  1. How to set up your brokerage account for stock trading
  2. How to spot stocks that are generally safe to invest for short-term profit
  3. How to analyze graph/chart/indicators to increase your chance of profit

Let me be clear though, I do not have a large amount of capital for trading, so the profit from stock isn’t quite enough for me to become a full-time day trader.

So how much to I make from trading? I can tell you that it is typically more than enough to pay for the monthly lease of my BMW! (which really isn’t a good financial decision I’ve made, to be honest.)

3. Me as a Weightlifter

- This is when I was 17

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been a chubby kid. Well… closer to obese than chubby. By the time I was 13, I was 5ft 5” and 230lbs! And then I started training MMA at 14, and started weightlifting seriously at 16. I was lucky to have been around professional athletes who have guided me to train properly from day 1, and in about a year into training I already started to see satisfying results.

After high school, I worked as a fitness trainer in Korea(which paid me almost nothing haha) and even after I made a career transition, I still work out almost daily. Having a fit body is much easier than most people think, and I want to share my knowledge on how to get the body you want! Now, this may sound a little rude and arrogant, but most people that work out don’t actually know how to effectively design their workout routine and lift properly.

I want to share information on:

  • How to lose body fat in a fast and simple way
  • How to build muscle mass without steroids(or other similar products that I’d rather not use)
  • Training properly to minimize your risk of injury
  • Supplements to use (if you want to use them at all)
  • How to cook healthy, simple meals (and unhealthy meals that I secretly like)

My overall philosophy on training is pretty simple. I just aim to look good and feel healthy physically and mentally. I don’t really care much about how heavy I can lift as long as the weight can effectively train me.

4. Me as a Traveller

Growing up, I did not have many chances to travel to different places because I was financially tight for the most of my life. Since I am in a somewhat stable stage of life, I am making efforts to explore different places. Most recently, I’ve travelled to Alaska, and it was definitely the most beautiful place that I have been to. I will create a posting about my experience in Alaska in a day or two.

Expect to see frequent updates from me about new and exciting adventures that I’ll be doing!
Some of the places that I want to visit include:

  • Iceland
  • Japan
  • Mexico
  • China
  • Northern Europe

5. Me as a Cat Lover

In 2016, my friend asked me if I was interested in adopting a kitten that her friend rescued. I never really had much love for cats, but I agreed to adopt the kitten knowing that I have a few friends that would have been happy to take the cat from me if I decide not to keep it.

I am now so charmed by my cat, and I can’t imagine living without him. HahaI named him Okami(ookami means ‘wolf’ in Japanese) and we have been best friends ever since. He is a very calm cat, and is afraid of everything in the world except for me. Sometimes I’m not even sure if he likes me or if he just meows at me for food, but I sure like him!

Summary

For those of you who don’t want to read pages of introduction on some random dude on the internet, here is the summary.

I’m just an average guy. Not handsome, not rich, not intelligent.

I work as a designer. I work out. I trade stocks for making a few extra bucks. I like to travel. And I have a cat.

On Steemit, I want to share things that will be meaningful to others such as...

  • How to get a six pack in a short period of time
  • How to pay for a BMW with short-term stock investment.
  • How to cook (or… how I cook)
  • Book recommendations
  • Cat Diary

And I promise you, for all of the things that I share, I’ll try my best to make it as enjoyable as possible for you.

By the way, some of my postings will be uploaded in Korean as well. To keep each posting cleaner, I’ll post one for each English and Korean.

Thanks for reading. I can’t wait to start uploading some fun stuffs!
