And Here We Go…

Welcome FIRE Enthusiasts, Churners, Hodlers, Personal Finance savvy people and everyone else to my resurgence of using steemit!

My name is Jason and I am 26 years old. I currently work in IT at a large insurance company in a north suburb of Chicago. I’ve been working at this particular company for over 4 years now and let me say that after working in IT for the last 5 years it has definitely felt like each passing year has gone by faster than the last. When you have that kind of mentality it makes you realize how short life is and to appreciate the finer things in life. After all we have one life to live and I certainly don’t want to spend it sitting in a shared cubicle staring at a computer screen all day until I’m old and grey!

My passion in life is Personal Finance and I enjoy all aspects of it but beyond all of that the ability to share what knowledge I have to others so that they may benefit as well. I’m shooting to hit FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) by the tender age of 35 and then spend the rest of my life focusing on the things that I actually want to do (more about that later)!

My posts will focus on all aspects of my journey and any other tips or tricks that I want to discuss as well.
