I’m a bit late with this intro, よろしくお願いします!

I’m a bit late posting an intro. My Steemit account was officially created July 8th 2017 :)

My journey here started about a month ago with a YouTube video from ColdFusion titled “Who Controls All of Our Money.” Normally ColdFusion videos focus on modern trends in technology and innovation that change the world. But this one in particular explained the history of the U.S. Federal Reserve and of the monetary banking system that lead to the worldwide financial crash of 2008.

This lead me down a rabbit hole to learn more about how the financial system works and why so many people turn their financial resources into gold and silver... and then Bitcoin with other crypto currencies. Various videos from around the web of Andreas Antonopoulos and Jeff Berwick’s The Dollar Vigilante YouTube channel were helpful to get a idea of this movement of crypto. Though blockchain usability is still in its developmental stages it is fascinating to see how this technology is already changing societies. To my knowledge Steemit is the only social network that incorporates blockchain. It’s a really cool premise and I am excited to be part of it and see how it will change and grow.

As for about myself

I have a lot of interest. It usually centers around technology, scientific discovery, nature, health, sociology, history, and... I just love learning. I’m not super academic in that I try to memorize all the times, places, and names or technical terms. But do like to gain an understanding of how things work and then apply it to life.

The things that have influence me the most are faith in Jesus and my time in Japan.

I don’t consider myself religious, but my spirituality is centered on Jesus Christ. In college I first learned about Jesus in a way I could understand and it change everything for me... it was a first great awakening for me. I wouldn’t say I’m religious. I’m conservative in my reading of the Bible but open minded and liberal in just about everything else.

My time in Japan expanded this in ways I never would have imagined. Learning the language and culture, experiencing the community, and just living life there changed my understanding of the world, challenged me emotionally, and expanded my faith. It was a second great awakening for me. I had some pretty amazing experiences lead lead me to start JesusLovesJapan.com about a seven years ago.

At one time I thought I had a spiritual calling to live in Japan longterm but life always seemed to come against me to stop that from happening. It’s still a passion I have though, a dream I guess. So I continue to study Japanese language and culture. My post here on Steemit are probably going to be what I share about here the most, but we will see.

If you have made it this far, thank you! I Look forward to meeting and learning from all of you. I’ll leave you with this video I shot a few years back of a Japanese gospel charity choir performing in conjunction with wadaiko (Japanese drummers). It is still to this day one of the coolest things I was able to help with. I hope to write more about it soon.

I do check the values of some offers here and hope so to help new steemians. I just started this project !

In my session 1 of testing the value of an @booster upvote I tracked the gains of different users by using this offer - so - for example @mahdiyari got for an investment of $1.96 and Post Upvote worth $5.08 !
