Introducing Myself!

Hi everyone! I am very excited to be a part of this new and growing community. My name is Jessica, and I am a seventeen year old Chinese American living in Texas.

I have always wanted to be a content creator. For a very long time, I wanted to establish a YouTube channel, but after trying to do so for a long time, it proved to be unsuitable for me, and I have seen many ethical issues with the platform that I don’t agree with.

I discovered steemit when I stumbled upon a Youtube video describing the amazing benefits of this wonderful community. I almost immediately signed up, awed by the opportunities it gives people and the intelligent audience it shares. I love how this site rewards people for quality content and values integrity and honesty. Therefore, I am very thankful to be a part of the community.

A little bit about me:

I am a very spiritual person. I love connecting with the world around me. I absolutely adore nature, and I love bonding with others on a deeper level. I love beauty and wisdom, and I believe that if we all learned more about ourselves and others, we would not only be much more conscious of the people and things around as, but also become more loving people overall, which would greatly improve society.

I love learning more about the world through other people’s stories. Some days, I spend hours on the internet reading and watching videos about different people, their experiences, their culture, and how their experiences have shaped them, and I look forward to doing that on steemit. :) I think it’s fascinating that although our world is so gigantic and contains so many different groups of people, all with unique backgrounds and identities, we are all really just trying to make meaning out of this reality we live in. In the end, regardless of our race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation, we are all just people doing our best with what we have been given.

I am a believer in kindness and compassion. I am a very sensitive and empathetic person, which has allowed me to gain a deeper understanding with the people I interact with by being able to understand their emotions. Through this, I’ve realized that we should strive to be kind and understanding to others as much as possible, even those that are not nice to us. This is because we might not know exactly what they are going through at the moment, and our kindness could be helping them through a rough stage in their lives. However, this does not mean that we should allow others to disrespect us.

I think that by constantly striving to grow and develop ourselves to our full potential, we will have the best quality of life. By doing this, I have found myself to not only be much happier, but also much more fulfilled in life. By constantly improving ourselves, I believe we will become wiser and more loving individuals who are secure and happy.

Almost every weekend I go biking, and this is one of my favorite hobbies. I enjoy the simple pleasure for going on a long ride simply because it is fun and allows me to relax. I also get to spend time outside in nature, which is very important to me. After every ride, I feel refreshed, tired, and proud, and accomplished.

I also have my own handmade business where I sell items that I crochet. I have been crocheting since I was very young, and I am very thankful to be able to make people happy by giving them unique, handcrafted items that are uncommon these days. Here is some of the work I sell:

In the future, I plan on pursuing a business and psychology degree in college. I am planning on becoming an entrepreneur, life coach or something in that area. I want to create a life that enriches that life of others by using my experiences, and I am very excited to see where that takes me!

I have already made a few posts on steemit, but I plan on spending much more time on it in the future. In fact, I plan on blogging a several times a week. I will be blogging about life, self-improvement, and spirituality. I look forward to learning and growing through this experience, and I can’t wait to show you what I have to share!
