STEEMIT: Introduce Yourself · "From Analog to Digital Art · The paradigm shift"
Greetings to the Steemit community! 🕺
I am a web designer, photographer and portrait painter of the Canary Islands who, although it can be said that I grew up next to the technological revolution of the 80s, these last days, I am totally impressed by the change of paradigm that we have before our feet.
The digitization of humanity is here to stay. 😱
I was born in the year 1980 and at 9 years old my father gave me my first personal computer: an MSX with an 8-bit microprocessor and 64Kb of RAM. I went from playing with my little toy cochitos in the garden of mni grandmother's garden to spend countless hours in the darkness of my room with my new friend writing programs in [BASIC] (https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/BASIC)
Images created to celebrate 30 years of the MSX VG-8020, green phosphor monochrome monitor and cassette tape loader. This was my first computer in 1989. 😍 |
Then came the 286, the 486, Pentium I, etc ... to my current i7-8700K 3.70GHz. NVIDIA GeFORCE GTX 1060 6GB. A lifetime behind computers! (But to get here there are 30 years apart)
I spent many years in high school, more than I should, repeating the last year, COU, because I did not know what to do, what to study in college: philosophy, psychology ...? Until I had *my professional awakening *, whose maximum I wrote on the back cover of my first editorial publication, "Between Queens and Brooklyn":
"Think about what you are good at doing, look inside yourself for what you enjoy and, even if you do not realize it now, think about what you have done and what you have prepared for your childhood ... That's your way."
I had it in front of my eyes and I had not noticed! 🐒
I loved drawing and I loved spending hours and hours fiddling with the computer. Also, just at that moment, I discovered the Manolo Blahnik Art School in Santa Cruz de La Palma. Luck was cast: I would be a graphic designer! 😚
I have been working for 13 years, since 2006, professionally freelance in graphic design, specializing in web design under Wordpress. I love spending hours doing puzzles, which is how I call web design under HTML.
Apart from the design, I dedicate myself to photography, painting and music. I hope to share with you all my designs, paintings and portraits, my photos of different places in the world and above all, make friends in this new social network.
Music is another of my pending subjects. I also hope to share my other great passion: The aerial simulation in X-plane 11. ✈️
I have titled my first post as "From Analog to Digital Art · The change of paradigm" because in recent months I have realized that the digitalization of humanity is unstoppable, that we live under a new paradigm, the Internet of things, the money will become completely digital very soon ... I do not know where all this will take us, but I want to get on the cryptocurrency cart. 💸
I have created some YouTube channels that I hope to monetize very soon. I have also created accounts that accept donations like my PayPal or my Patreon, where you can become my patron, get one of my photos in high resolution, a painted portrait to the charcoal or the most elaborate of my gifts: a pastel portrait in full color and with a size of 50x65cm.
Another account that I created to accept donations is ko-fi.
The ability to get digital money has grown a lot in the last 6-7 years. I do nothing but turn my head to find a source of income in which I can unleash my qualities.
I hope to share many things with you, to start, I * throw * the list of my most important social networks:

A big hug to everyone. See you around here!

WELL HELLO! I WAS BORN IN 1980! I REMEMBER THE FIRST COMPUTER WE HAD, MY SISTER AND I WOULD USE THIS SPIRAL BOOK AND COPY DOWN SEQUENCES OF NUMBERS AND LETTERS. AT THE END OF IT ALL A SMALL ANIMATION OF SORTS WOULD HAPPEN. THAT WAS EARLY 80S (86 PS, I USE CAPS BECAUSE IM BLIND. I CAN SEE CAP LETTERS BETTER THAT LOWER) I DIDN'T TOUCH A COMPUTER AGAIN WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE BREAKOUT OF ALTAVISTA AND ENCARTA ONLINE. I ONLY EVER TOUCHED A COMPUTER IF I NEEDED TO LOOK SOMETHIN UP OR MY EMAIL. I WENT RIGHT INTO THE FOOD AND BEVERAGE INDUSTRY SO NO COMPUTERS. WE DIDNT EVEN HAVE COMPUTERS AS A CLASS IN SCHOOL. I REMEMBER IN HIGH SCHOOL WE HAD 1 CLASSROOM WITH OREGON TRAIL ON IT. LOLOLOL. WHEN I STARTED STEEM, I WAS SO LOST. I CAN STILL BE AT TIMES BUT I PUSH THROUGH AND LEARN WHAT I NEED TO. WELL WELCOME TO STEEMIT AND STEEM BLOCKCHAIN. YOU'LL FIT IN NICELY AROUND HERE! HAPPY STEEMING! OH IM FRANCESCA @PRETTYNICEVIDEO
HI, FRANCESCA, MY FRIEND. YOU ARE NOT CRAZY; I WROTE THE POST IN ENGLISH EVEN THOUGH I AM SPANISH. HE, HE, HE.
I ALSO REMEMBER THE 80'S WHEN WE HAD TO WRITE TOO MUCH CODE LINES FOR A UGLY GAME. THEY WERE EXCITING TIMES: THE START OF PARADIGM SHIFT. SCREENS IN THREE COLORS, NO MOUSES... I LOVE TO REMEMBER IT.
ALTHOUGH I OPEN STEEM ACCOUNT TWO MONTH AGO, NOW IS WHEN I USE IT FREQUENTLY.
I HOPE LEARN QUICKLY. WE'LL BE IN TOUCH.
THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENTS. KISSES!!
YOU WILL ! AND THANK YOU FOR CLEARING IT UP, I JUST DIDNT WANT TO HAVE WROTE THIS MESSAGE AND I THOUGHT THE WEB BROWERS SWITCHED IT ON ME. I FELT DUMB. LOL. THANKS!
LOL, DON'T WORRY, MY FRIEND. IT WAS A SIMPLY CONFUSION. 😜
I HAVE BEEN WATCHING SOME OF YOUR DTUBE VIDEOS. THEY ARE NICE!!
GOOD LUCK AND KEEP IN TOUCH.
Awwwww thanks. I really appreciate that! I do!
Hi and welcome here! When I started on steemit, my biggest problem was to find interesting people to interact with. So, to help newcomers getting started I created a directory with other interesting and or talented steemians to follow or interact with. Feel free to check it out at https://www.steemiandir.com I am sure it will help you find like-minded people. Enjoy your stay here and do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions!
Welcome to Steem! Thanks for sharing the story of your first computer and how you progressed from then on. We're glad that you've joined our community to share all these talents of yours. The #art, #photography, and #dsound communities will be fantastic tags for you to use to post such content. Have a lovely day and please feel free to ask any questions that you may have.
We encourage everyone to explore the various posts and to leave personal comments on those that you wish (for example - thoughts regarding the content or a sharing of a similar experience you've had). This platform thrives through interaction as it's the best way to build relationships with other Steemians while finding communities and initiatives that peak your interests.
We like to advise bloggers to cite if images, videos, etc. used in their posts are of their own creation. This practice gives the creators an opportunity to have it clearly labeled that the works portrayed are the rightful property of the party posting it.
Another tip that we share with everyone is to be careful of copyright infringement when using material that is not of their original creation. Content (for example - images from a website) that grants permission for reuse is acceptable for content creators to utilize within their posts provided there is appropriate attribution to the source. Here's a link that will provide you with more information.
We wanted to let you know, we have given you a 25% upvote, are now following you, and are introducing you to everyone we know. You can visit our post HERE.

All the Best!!!
My first experience with a computer was a TRS80 system with a host and 14 terminals that my highschool had installed the year before in 1984. Have to say that it led to a lifetime of being good with technology. And for that i am very thankful.

Hi @lorreli and thanks for your comment. I know computers came some years before in USA than Canary Island, so really I can feel me happy cause I was one of the first persons who had computer in my small town.
I also have to say, like you, I am very thankful, cause my hobby turned in my actual job: graphic design. An entire life fiddling with the computer. ☺️
