Introducing myself to the Steemit Community

Why hello there everyone, thanks for stopping by to find out a little about me, Jason. Introductions have always been difficult for me to write. I attribute this to a disconnect between how I identified, and who I actually was. I've had my identity wrapped up in ideas about myself, but this is not where a true sense of the self comes from.

I have grown quite a bit these last few years and I am thrilled with the journey of self-discovery that I am on.

During my years of discovery, I have asked many questions about myself. These questions took many paths. They have led me to think that I am comprised of three different parts. My body, my mind, and my consciousness.

Growing up, I was operating focused on my body and mind. I had a hard time balancing the two. Looking back now, I realize that I took my mind down extreme paths because I did not feel like I fit in with my environment and my peers. To balance this, I took my body to extremes by searching out ways to live more of my life in the moment. My mind was on a path that was very diffuse and not always directed where it should be and quite often, I wandered from interest to interest. In essence, I think this was because my spirit was driving me, and at my core, I am a free spirit.

I've struggled to balance my life as a free spirit with trying to meet the expectations of others. I have found more happiness embracing my spirit and growing on my own terms. In order to grow, you must put in the work to grow. I did not always think like that. Learning to foster growth in my own way has been very exciting, even with its ups and downs.

With the ups and downs of life, you learn valuable lessons. I am interested in growing because I have lots of ideas and goals that I have learned from these lessons. I would like for them to come to fruition. To accomplish my goals, growth is necessary and now, I try to focus on optimizing my body, mind, and consciousness.

I hold an extreme interest in the body and how it is used to express our passions. I have become fascinated by the mind and how powerful of a tool it is. I believe the right mindset is key to unlocking human potential. My development recently can be attributed to embracing consciousness as a tool for growth. It helps bring awareness of the body and mind to achieve a balance. I view the consciousness as the part of you that allows you check in and evaluate yourself, without the distractions of the mind and body.

Awareness is a tool of the consciousness. Learning how to channel this has been enlightening. Thank you awareness.

I've taken the tools of awareness and applied this way of thinking to the world around me. While analyzing how I look at the world, and how others do, I have realized that I love learning about ideas. What are the conditions under which ideas have been developed, and how are they applied? Additionally, why do people embrace some ideas and reject others? I have found that thinking this way has been very empowering. It's great mental exercise and I hope I can express my ideas in a way that empowers people by viewing the world through a different lens.

I now like to think in terms of force analysis. Force very broadly defined as the ability for something to make a change. I've come to create my own little philosophy about the world and all of the forces in it. I'm calling it psychofreakism. The term is based on the word psycho - of the mind, and freak - being different. These ideas aren't new, I've just been tinkering with the ideas that come into my head. I am attempting to use my voice to express them differently. I invite you to follow along as I work on developing these ideas through my writing and to follow me on my journey.
I want to be a positive force in this world and I hope that I can start by being one in this community. Join me as I share some of the ideas that I have been tackling, in my attempt to find my voice in a positive and passionate manner.
