Turner....James Turner.....Jr.
What it do Steemit Community!
My names is James Anthony Turner Jr and this is my first post to Steemit, ill start by blabbing about myself.
You should have learned my name by now (....James Anthony Turner Jr), and you may have noticed that I always include the suffix Jr and often my middle name Amthony. One reason is because of how common the name is. There are 4 James' in my family ( Uncle, Dad, Myself, and Nephew) and thats only on one side, that i know of. There are atleast 10 other JAT's in my home county, which I learned after looking up my court date for a speedimg violatiom years back, and doesn't include JAT Juniors. Another reason is to differ between me and my father. Over the years our relationship has grown tense from pride, differences and similarities, empty and heavy words, and a combination of all of the preceeding. I find myself clinging to ways to create space from his likeness. So for short, I'm James Junior.
I joined Steemit through the recommendation of @d-pend after holding a conversation about music, writing, collaboration, and our passion for the three. I'm a huge extrovert and connecting with people has always been a strong ability of mine, so striking up a conversation with @d-pend was just routine while I stuffed his meat (I'm a meat cutter at a grocery store.....you sickos). But all he had to mention was music and the convo hit another level. First it it was music: favorite genres, artists, what instruments we played, his studio. Then it was writing: lyrics, songwriting, journaling, poetry. And that's when Steemit rose into the convo. He told me a little about it and how you can make money writing. About anything. And I was steamed!
So here I am. Steeming to raise my esteem. I'm an amateur writer writing journals, a little poetry, and a book im currently writing (more about that later). I want to use Steemit to grow my writing abilties and connect with people with similar ideas and relatable experiences. I want to write about my thoughts, feelings, and experiences in hopes that others can take away from them and grow as their own person. Long Term Goal: To show the world that we are ALL connected in a beautiful way by using something as simple, yet powerful as words. Short Term Goal: To improve on my potential by using the gifts that I was given.
This intro is getting pretty long and I realize that I have an entire account to expand on, so I'll leave you with a few interests and intentions.
Interests: Music, reading, writing, great conversations, Batman, food, physical activity, outdoors, and hot temperatures.
Intentions: I intend to post writings of my own as I write them. As I am an amateur writer, these writings may seem informal and elementary, but will grow as I do. I will write on many topics that I find interesting; from books that I read to random conversations with the many people I connect with. I will also write formally as I learn and grow in the writing field.
I hope to grow not only in my writing, but in the Steeming community, so as always, stay Steemimg my friends!

Newbie here too! Already shows that you know how to write.... I struggle to get words out sometimes lol
You should definitely look into getting a personal journal. Just writing about your day, thoughts, or feelings without terms or conditions will help to get your flow going. Freewrite. You're not worried about grammar, style, or form cause its your personal journal. The only audience is you! Style and form will come later as your flow increases. You got this! Happy writing to you!
