Introducing Myself, The Hopeful Cynic, Looking for Progress.

Hello steemit community, I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend, I know I have. I'm in North Carolina and the weather has been amazing this past week (hmm..global warming), anyways moving on..
I have been browsing around steemit and d.tube familiarizing myself with the community expectations and guidelines. I wanted to be sure my input would be up to par, as I've learned the voting system here is imperative for a successful post. Before I start, I'd like to appreciate the free flow of information being conveyed both here and on dtube. The censorship that is threatening the internet we all share is a travesty, with the rights of individuals being shoved to the side for the benefit of corporate entities. the amount of revenue generated for corporations, strictly by our own user data is insane, yet i have yet to be offered any compensation, or decision making ability where my data is used, or how. but I digress =]

With that said on to my introduction.
My name doesn't really matter here, but its Shawn anyways. Im mid 20's, 1 Wife, 1 newborn<3.
I'm a deep ponderer of life, I have seen extreme ups, and faced dangerous lows, I seem to have settled somewhere in the middle =D. Without too much detail, I can tell you that of my closest friends of my teenage years, only 3-4 are alive and doing well. Knowing that, I assure that my decisions, and consequential experiences are unique to myself, and with that comes a unique outlook on life that I take huge pride in. I look back in retrospect at times and sit, amazed that I still have my freedom to enjoy. I am a natural introvert, quiet ad shy, but I work against that in order to share my viewpoints and spread love and unity wherever possible, whenever possible. this has grown increasingly as i study the injustices we see in our society.. at times I have to refrain from marching in the streets..

I spend a lot of time analyzing many different aspects of the world we live in today, and I try to be outspoken on important topics, to be the voice of reason, explaining issues to friends in a light they may not have considered beforehand, and if you ask me, with this I have great success in expanding the views of those around me, progressing human understanding person by person. I have certain friends who call me just to tell me a stressful situation they encountered, or a debate they themselves had had with someone else, just to see what kind of "different thinking" I may have on a situation. I try to see every situation objectively, from the 3rd person perspective.

I often post in-depth considerations of News articles, current events, YouTube, and other media, on Facebook, and I've come to understand that a large majority of people wont open themselves up to the dialog, because their opinions would be displayed to the public, and may later bite them in the ass. With so many people being put on the chopping block at work for things posted on social media I can certainly understand why they feel that way.. but I cant shake the fact that failure to discuss events, or issues taking place allows for them to be glazed over in the News, and continue to happen again and again, with people all the while asking "why?" or "how can that happen, how can they do that?"

Hence the reason I'm here.
Though everything on Facebook is on my timeline, the pace of such a form of social media is much to fast, with huge stories being lost in the mix of memes and twerking videos, and soon forgotten by all.
I hope to use steemit as my platform to post in depth content pertaining to these issues and discuss potential conflict resolution. These articles will range from the Deep State, Metaphysics, and religious controversy, where I'll be exposing social injustice, racism, debt slavery, corporate greed and personal gluttony, and then finally transcending it all, and being part of the collective Ether, contributing to the advancement of humanity, rather than its detriment. here I hope to find people who are open to discussion and bringing about change.

I haven't quite decided if I will transfer any old content already published elsewhere to this platform, as I am considering creating a series of sorts, which will involve a lot of reorganization and new presentation of that same information.
I hope that I can interest a few of you with my views, perhaps have some meaningful deliberations on important topics, while keeping things intelligent, lighthearted and respectable.

Again, this IS my first post here, so if any of you guys have ANY kind of comments or recommendations I greatly appreciate the input. I wont be offended if its negative.
